Dad, did dinosaurs really exist?
Sure they did, son. The Bible says so. They didn't call them "dinosaurs" back then, but instead they were known as "leviathans" or "behemoths".
But, my science teacher says dinosaurs lived millions of years ago. Is that true?
Of course not, son.
Then how old are they?
Well, let's see. The Bible tells us [from Adam and
Eve's family tree] that the Universe is only a few thousand years old. So dinosaurs had to have lived within the past few thousand years. That's simple logic, son.
Oh. So that means they were on Noah's Ark?
Absolutely! The Bible says two of every animal were brought [by God] to the ark. Dinosaurs were animals. So, using your logic again son, dinosaurs had to be on the ark.
Huh. So how come scientists say they're older than that? and died way before Jesus?
Well, son, they just make that up. Dinosaur bones don't have labels on them to tell how old they are. In fact, there is no proof whatsoever that the world and its fossil layers are millions of years old. No scientist saw dinosaurs die-
Dad!
No I'm serious. Scientists only find the bones in the here and now, and because many of them are evolutionists, they try to fit the story of the dinosaurs into their view.
That's sad. But I thought scientists were smart?
Sure, but they don't know everything. So they have to make stuff up to fit their beliefs. While you and I, we have the facts, straight from the Bible.
I don't want to be a scientist!
Ha! That's ok, son. It's better to be right, than smart. C'mon, wanna learn how to flip burgers like your Dad?
Yeah!

There is not a definitive yes or no to this, but it seems as though the Bible does mention dinosaurs. In Job 40:15-24, there is a description of a fearsome creature.
Behold now, Behemoth, which I made as well as you. He eats grass like an ox. 16 Behold now, his strength in his loins, and his power in the muscles of his belly. 17 He bends his tail like a cedar. The sinews of his thighs are knit together. 18 His bones are tubes of bronze. His limbs are like bars of iron. 19 He is the first of the ways of God. Let his maker bring near his sword. 20 Surely the mountains bring him food and all the beasts of the field play there. 21 Under the lotus plants he lies down, in the covert of the reeds and the marsh. 22 The lotus plants cover him with shade. The willows of the brook surround him. 23 If a river rages, he is not alarmed. He is confident, though the Jordan rushes to his mouth. 24 Can anyone capture him when he is on watch, with barbs can anyone pierce his nose?
Some have said that this might be a hippopotamus or even an elephant. But, it speaks of the power and the muscles of his belly (v. 16) and that his tail is like a cedar tree, which is huge (v. 17). This would not support a hippopotamus or elephant explanation. A crocodile has also been considered, but it doesn't eat grass (v. 15). So, no one knows for sure what it is; but whatever it is, it's formidable. Could it be a dinosaur?

So, are there dinosaurs in the Bible? The matter is far from settled. It depends on how you interpret the available evidences and how you view the world around you. If the Bible is interpreted literally, a young earth interpretation will result, and the idea that dinosaurs and man coexisted can be accepted. If dinosaurs and human beings coexisted, what happened to the dinosaurs? While the Bible does not discuss the issue, dinosaurs likely died out sometime after the flood due to a combination of dramatic environmental shifts and the fact that they were relentlessly hunted to extinction by man.

There is more than one mention in the Bible of what are now believed to be dinosaurs. Some examples have been given to you. Just because the Bible does not name all of them means? The Bible does not have a single reference to a Zebra or Giraffe, but we know they existed then. The OT part of the Bible is a history of how the Jewish nation came to be, and the laws they followed. It is not a scientific expose of life on earth.

Dinosaurs existed 64million years ago. They were dead by the time things got to Noah. Besides, details of Noah's ark are obviously greatly exaggerated.
And Leviathan & Behemoth? Please... there were more than 2 dinosaurs in the world - if they were around at the time of Job they would have more mention in the Bible.

Who says their were no dinosaurs in the Bible times? God just said there were two of every animal! The dinosaur could have been one of those animals! It doesn't specifically say which animals were on the ark! Or they could have existed way before the flood and God could have got ridden of them!

Well, we'd have to assume that dinosaurs were still around by the time that Noah gathered together the animals. Various animals go extinct often (i.e. the dodo bird), and who's to say that didn't happen to the dinosaurs as well?

Most now agree that as the flood was not worldwide but localized there would not have been as many animals as people thought on the ark.
