Are we so dependant on mythology and spirituality that if something can't be explained by existing methods that it defaults to the realm of the supernatural?

For example, the universe. While we have a fair idea of what probably happened to put it in it's current state (Big Bang theory), we don't know how or why and we don't know what state it was in prior to whatever actually happened.

Does this mean, though, that we should resort to saying that a divine being initiated it?

How is that any different to, before the reason and means for lightning were discovered, saying that Thor or Zeus were responsible for thunder and lightning?

At what point do we draw the line?

Or, do you think your children should be allowed to do whatever fun things they want to do, like other children, without the undue influence of your Christian Values or the Bible?

Islam says to leave non muslims alone. So why do the extremists try to kill any who are not muslim, and even many who are? Simple, it's culture and political. They should not be calling themselves muslims. Shame on them. Here are a couple of verses that prove it. Yeah, yeah, you're probably going to quote bad ones, but you also aren't going to read the ones around them that call for peace and to only defend.

"But if the enemy incline towards peace, do thou (also) incline towards peace, and trust in God: for He is One that heareth and knoweth (all things). (The Noble Quran, 8:61)"

"God does not forbid you from showing kindness and dealing justly with those who have not fought you about religion and have not driven you out of your homes. God loves just dealers. (The Noble Quran, 60:8)"

For instance, many atrocities that were done by early Christians such as those committed during the Crusades, the dark ages, the witch trials, and the rise of slavery, to name a few, all are discounted as Christian acts because they were quote "not following the Bible".But these people were practicing Christianity long before modern Christians and they seemed to believe that they were right and God was on their side.Granted, many of them could not read. But many could. And Christianity was founded by the church. If it were not for the church, Christianity would have never continued beyond a small cult. And the church seemed to think that what they were doing was ok and they were suppose to be the experts. They may not have been as advanced as we are today but if they knew one thing it was their religion.

You read it all the time in this site.

Theists saying that "God's creation" is perfect.

What puzzles me about this is that they must have very poor observation skills. It's the lack of perfection in nature that makes it so interesting.

The suggestion that humans were "created perfect" is just plain silly. Numerous creatures have better eyesight, we've got a terrible blindspot where the optic nerve joins the retina. We give birth to young that can't walk for a over a year, the list goes on.

Strange idea of perfection isn't it?

Can't they see that the lack of perfection is where the beauty in nature lies?

Are they just obsessed with the idea that if it "comes from God", it must then be perfect?

IF you could choose to be another religion, which one would you be and why? Which one has the things you value most? Personally, I used to be a Christian but I chose Islam. I did so after careful study. Anyway, what about you?

Didn't he already crawl on his belly? what did he do before, fly? What sort of a punishment is that, bit lenient don't you think?

idea of what this might have meant?

It was a very tactile and disturbing dream and I'd wake in a sweat.

It reccured maybe four or five times in a six month period and then stopped.
Any thoughts welcome!

The jews claim God has no son. The muslims claim God has no son.

Please review this scripture from Ague the son of Jakeh as listed in the proverbs 30:4

Who has asended into heaven, or descended?
Who has gathered the wind in HIS fists?
Who has bound the waters in a garment?
Who has established all the ends of the earth?
What is His name, And what is His Son's name, If you know.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ague knows the answer.
What is Gods name YHVH.
What is Gods Son's name YASHUA

The sign over Jesus head on the cross read:
Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews.

Jewish folks how would this is writen in hebrew:
Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews
Y H V H
So how is it you tell there is no son of God when the prophet spoke of him and questioned you. 1000y of so before Jesus Came.
