If you died and God said you were a good Christian and lets you into Heaven but the person you loved the most (assuming other than God) was sentenced to Hell, would you still love that person? Who you automatically try to sever ties with that person? To Christians: do you think you could fall in love with someone who isn't Christian and never wants to be Christian but is the most wonderful person you'll meet in your lifetime?

Here's a good question. WHy are most christians such hypocrites and use double standards in almost everything? They like to cite all sorts of stuff, mostly made up, from the Quran and even try pinning what their bible says on the Quran. For example, Quran says leave apostates alone, while the bible says to kill them even if their your own children. A father can sell his daughter off into slavery for a profit. If a man dies, his brothers are "obligated" to rape the widow until she bears a son. It's not even a choice for the woman, she must allow her relatives to do this to her. Why is it difficult for them to look in their own bible, where so much worse is stated including incest? Do they have selective sight? And I've also noticed most on here, actually almost all, claim in the same sentence "I love Jesus and live for him, but I hate you for believing what you do and think everyone in your religion should be killed". What do nonchristians think about this? I've met ONE good

Seems like Noah's ark could only have been a mythical story as there are biological/genetic issues involved breeding from just one pair of animals that would make it unsuccessful aren't there?.

Because a lot of other people do? Because the Bible says we should? Because we'll go to hell if we don't?

After a quick look at the questions and comments made on this section I have noticed that there is very little else besides ridicule, insults, and anger from the majority of people. No matter what gets said no one is going to change their faith because some stranger on "yahoo answers" calls it stupid. So whats the point? Very few people actualy ask questions that are not intended to insult or mock a particulat person or belief. The Christians shoud be ashamed. Is this how Jesus reached out to the comunity? by calling everyone stupid and declaring that the most important thing is who is going to heaven or hell? Don't you all know that the only way to show how God has deeply affected and changed your life through his love is by deeply affecting and changing other peoples lives through your love. do you show your mom that you love her by insulting her? than why are you doing it here? please do me a favor and think about this.

Is it true that you cannot build an ark as big as the one described in the Bible because wood is simply not strong enough and it would fall to pieces, what do you think? are there any structural engineers out there who could tell us?

The child empress Agnes of France was the spouse of two emperors of Byzantium, the boy emperor Alexius II Comnenus, and subsequently Andronicus I Comnenus, the latter's first cousin once removed. Agnes was born to King Louis VII of France's third wife, Adèle (or Alix) of Blois-Champagne, the daughter of Count Theobald II of Blois, in 1172. This made her the younger sister of the future French king Philip II Augustus. The house of Blois-Champagne was the second most powerful magnate house in France (after the house of Plantagenet). The emperor Manuel I Comnenus was looking for allies in the west, since the Peace of Venice in 1177 had effectively allied the Pope (Alexander III), the Holy Roman Empire, Venice, the other Italian communes and Sicily against him. After discussion with the count of Flanders, Philip of Alsace, who visited Constantinople in early 1178 on his way back from the Holy Land, Manuel sent an embassy

I think there is far less. Too many are still enslaved by the world. Living for the world and worldy things rather than the spirit. I know it's hard to be fully devoted. So I wonder if half of those we believe are Christians are actually Christians on the outside, but really not safe at all in their unwillingness to seperate from the deceit of Satan.

Congratulations. You have won this morning's "Horrible Generalisation" award.

According to fundamentalists, God is a ruler who allows torture on a massive scale, punishment out of all proportion to the crime, and punishment for the crimes of another (like the Nazis once did). Any human ruler who indulged in such things would probably be condemned by the UN, removed and put on trial for crimes against humanity. If God's behavior is worse than what we would accept from a human ruler, why do people worship Him? It is because He has all the power?

Aborigenes have lived in Australia for 40,000 years. Yet Adam and Eve lived about six thousand years ago. Therefore the Australian aborigenes could not be the descendants of Adam and Eve. Therefore, why would they need to be saved?

I believe in God and Jesus, and Jesus is my close friend. I seek his guidance and ask his forgiveness. I try to follow his authentic teachings. I do not believe that the Bible is without mistakes. I believe some of the Bible is not from God, because of the evidence. And I do not believe that only Christians are saved.

Have you noticed that some of the worst anti catholics are ex catholics who never got beyond the spoon fed education of catholic primary and secondary leaning and never bothered to learn an adult view of their faith? Don't mean a person needs a university education or theology degree just a education and inquiry as an adult in Catholicism which is available in most diocese.

I like saying I'm an agnostic atheist because I don't believe in God, or any religoun for that matter, but I don't rule religous beliefs out as a possiblilty for the cause of life because there is no concrete proof for either case. Does this make sense or even work as a belief system?
