When life on other planets is found, Christianity will die out. But I would argue that it is already beginning to die out which is why there has been such a push by them in American politics recently. Science will eventually prove Christianity - but NOT God - frivolous.

In my opinion and in my genealogy research, I've found that as cultures evolved they believed less in the old Gods and became Christians. As for Christianity... a lot of it's popularity is based on the church and what they teach. The Catholic Church took over a lot of Pagan holidays to make the church more popular. And to bring in the non-believers. Also if you read some of the older histories of different races, like the Visigoths or the Franks... many wars were fought over religion. So you are partially right... many non-believers died to make way for the believers. Hope that helped.

There are christians...and Christians.
True Christians obey the Bible, and not tradition.
Just ask, how many christians obey Matthew 28; 19,20?
They just leave it up to the religious leaders. But the scripture does not limit this commandment to just the leaders. It is to all of us.
To make a point. ALL baptised and some approved un-baptised J.W.'s preach. Anmd when they get a good response to the preaching, they are able to start TEACHING.

Before Christianity, people killing others based on their religion was very uncommon. Since the inception of Christianity, people killing others based on religion seems to be a permanent fixture.
Who thought the best way to spread a message of peace and love would be killing, torturing and raping your way around the world.

I think it's because Christianity to most people is not just a story, it's a way of life. People will accept what they're told, and I can see why it's so appealing to one that needs hope.
I, for one, can't be forced to believe something I know does not make sense to me.

That's just a solid proof that Christianity is NOT a myth. Histories shows that lots and lots of people killed because of their faith in Christ (especially if you live in a country where Christianity is a minority), but Christianity kept on growing stronger and stronger, just like the Bible said.

One Danish king decided to buy into Christianity and basically killed his people's religion for it. One person. Personally I liked the Norse legends and beliefs. My fiance is Danish and he hates the fact that Christianity ruined his people's religion.
