"You may work for six days, but the seventh day is a day of worship, a day when you don't work. It is holy to the LORD. Whoever works on that day must be put to death" (exodus 31:15).

All right, I know that when Jesus came he took away sin, so sins like this are forgiven. However, Christians are still supposed to try to obey the commandments in the old testament.

I have trouble deciding what needs to be obeyed and what doesn't, because clearly, if I see my neighbor fixing his grill on sunday, I'm not going to go out and shoot him.

I'm not really sure how to sum this up in one question, but take it as you may.

I would like for Christians of any denomination to email me so I can explain why I ask, and tell me their thoughts on how to become a Christian. It's too personal to put on a public site.

How can you say you believe in no god? God does not exist. Just the abundance of saying god makes you not atheist cause enable to believe something dont exist means you have to believe that something is there.

for the sake of discussion let's say ethics is what our parents and our society teach us is right and wrong. yet ethics will change with different times and differ from society to society. hasn't there been a time or an instance when you felt in your heart that what you have been told is not necessarily accurate? is this virtue? where do we derive virtue from?

I've met drug dealers that are now missionaries and prostitutes that are now strong women of God and gang bangers that have been saved and become church leaders. Even atheist and pagans that are now living for God! One thing no one can deny is the awesome change in our lives through the Joy of salvation. I know if I hadn't met Jesus I'd be in prison by now. How has Jesus changed you?

This can relate to spirituality because it may bring you closer to a higher power.

I'll throw out a few.

- finding a random $ bill in your pocket
- waking up thinking you are late...and then you look at your alarm clock to see you have X number of hours left to sleep
- laying in bed, just listening to music as you fall asleep

It certainly does not read that the dead know nothing.

9And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: 10And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? 11And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

the verse seems to substitute what God has to say for how people may react to another. Practically speaking, if the one you loved does not love you because you are ugly, where God looks on people does not matter when one needs human love.

if you believe in the christian bible, shouldnt you worship the devil? if you believe that god granted satan riegn over hell, and allows him to constantly try and tempt you, than isnt that just a giant cosmic bet between god and the devil to see how many souls they each gan get? wouldnt that totally disregard any feelings you think god has for you because he appearntly is considering you as a another number of random souls he is tallying up against the devil? it would seem that if you bought into the bible than people would be nothing more than a pawn in a game of odds with the devil and god. if god would allow you to be tempted unknowingly on a constant basis, ready to let you be thrown to the devil, in which he grants permission to riegn against all that is good, he would not be someone i would think many would worship. i dont get it, if you believe in the bible, why dont you worship the devil? i think its all a control tool, butrespect the devil worshipers more than christians.

Jesus said that John the Baptist was the greatest man who had lived (MT 11:11). John the Baptist, it is well-known, said that he was not worthy to untie Jesus’ sandals (MK 1:7, LK 3:16, JN 1:27, AC 13:25).

So if we are less than John, and John isn’t worthy to untie Jesus’ shoelaces, how can anyone think that they are worthy of Jesus? (If John was wrong when he said this, or if Jesus disagreed, then he surely would not have called him the greatest of men without at least fixing this discrepancy).

The Bible says many times that Jesus loves everyone, but how much can he love them if he considers them unworthy of him?

He also said that anyone “who loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and he who loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me, and he who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me (MT 10:37-38, RSV).” This is kind of an odd thing to say (that non-Christians are unworthy of Jesus). If this unworthiness is only temporary (i.e., they become worthy of Jesus once they accept him), isn’t it an irrelevant thing to say? If it is permanent, how could he fulfill his implied mission to convert the world to Christianity?

Why almost every religion test its adherence by the length of women's clothings. Problem is that self-anointed religious leaders claims those stipulation as laid down by God himself. Further problem is that a good number of women also seems to be in a trance and vehemently support such clothings as God's wish. These believers should realize that God has much more important works to do rather than deciding the length of clothings and that too only for women ??
