You seem to have access to the Bible.
Perhaps you should spend more time reading the New Testament especially Galations and Romans and God will answer your question far better that I or anyone else here could.

Most OT laws don't apply anymore. Christians today eat meat on Friday and where sweaters made of mixed fibers all the time. Back in the day, before Jesus was around, both would get you a ticket to see the Accuser of Brethren. Not anymore!
Wha Hoo! Party time! Now they get to wear bad sweaters and gorge themselves on bacon and hot wings while watching American Idol.
You see, when the NT came out (I think the 1st hard cover version was originally published by Walden Books around 200 AD) some handy concessions were made for those who participated in ritualized cannibalism (you know, the whole body and blood ceremony). I can't remember the exact passage so I'll have to paraphrase:
"All those whom loveth Christ can now forget about the old laws laid down by the Father. They were kinda stupid anyway. Except for that one about homosexuals. God still hates them."
Maybe some of our Christian readers who are more familiar with the New Testament can cite that passage for us?

Confusing to say the least. The 10 commandments, which are the old laws, has the line about keeping the sabbath. Some say jesus was sent to save us from our sins, abolish the old laws and created a new world order. Now, if jesus abolished the old laws that would include the 10 commandments. If jesus was god in mans form on earth then he abolished his own laws and got rid of honoring the Sabbath. So god through jesus said we don't have to honor him anymore. Got that?

"All right, I know that when Jesus came he took away sin, so sins like this are forgiven."
On the contrary, sins CAN be forgiven (if one repents), they are not (automatically) forgiven. Maybe this wasn't what you meant to say, but I just wanted to clarify that if it was.
"However, Christians are still supposed to try to obey the commandments in the old testament."
No, they are not. The law is still valid (as Jesus said, not one iota or tittle of it shall pass and he did not come to abolish the law), but it cannot save. The problem, though, is not with the law, but with man: in order for the law to save, one cannot break a single one or one has broken the entire law. All is not as hopeless as it sounds, though, because God also provided us with grace.

The Sabbath is not Sunday, it is Saturday. The seventh day.
And no, you aren't suppose to kill your neighbor for sinning. Christ told men that he without sin should cast the first stone. Since we all are with sin, the punishment for breaking the law is not possible to enact. This is how he fulfilled the law, but he never abolished it, he simply made it for himself to deal out punishment because we are not worthy.
The law stands as strong as ever and noone was supposed to change it. Remember the Sabbath (seventh) day and keep it Holy.

The Sabbath law was a ceremonial law that was pointing to the rest that Christians find in Christ from trying to be justified before God by a works based salvation. Jesus fulfilled all of the ceremonial laws like the ones requiring animal sacrifices to atone for sin. Christians are still to keep all of the moral laws because those represent God's eternal righteous character.
Colossians 2:13 And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, 14 by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross.
15 He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him. 16 Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. 17 These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ.
Jesus told us what laws He wanted us to keep and Paul explained it for us.
Mark 12:29 Jesus answered, "The most important is, 'Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 30 And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' 31 The second is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."
Romans 13:9 The commandments, "You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet," and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." 10 Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

Uh lady, those commandments were not given to the Gentiles. Why say you are having trouble deciding what needs to be obeyed, when all you really want to do is poke fun at the Old Testament? If you really want to obey God, then I suggest you get out of the Old Testament commandments and concentrate on getting Jesus Christ into your heart.

Your neighbor should be okay in any case because of the "love thy neighbor" clause. Your pothead kids are okay because they are supposed to be stoned for being disobedient. So I think you're okay, compliance-wise. Couldn't hurt to sacrifice a goat or two just to be on the safe side.

The Sabbath to you as a believer must be set aside. But since we do not know what day the Sabbath was or is today, you would be safe to set aside one day for rest and worship only. You can choose the day or all of them. It's up to you.
