It's not that I don't believe Jesus existed, but I don't believe in him as Christians do. As for where I'll go when I'm done here... I'll go where everyone goes... I'll rejoin the energy that I call God.

If Jesus is the only way to get to heaven, what happened to all the people who died before Jesus and/or the people who never heard of Jesus. Why would God create people who are automatically going to hell because they didn't know Jesus? Sounds like a waste of good souls to me.

Why should we worry what happens to us? As a Pagan I plan to go to the Summerland. I have a Pagan friend who is so carefree that he plans to leave his body to one of those FBI body farms where they teach forensics. I just hope he dies before me, cause I have already asked him if I can stick a dildo where the sun don't shine and he says he's fine with that as long as he is dead first. A final evil deed, what fun.

But if you believe in Heaven, then what difference does it make what others think. You either believe or you don't.

Oh boy.

First of all, what does "believe in Jesus" mean? I like the philosophy of Jesus, but I don't believe he was anything more than a philosopher. I don't know if he did either. What do you know of him that hasn't been indoctrinated into the very fabric of your being from day one? Are you aware of the corrupting influence that Paul had on Jesus's message? Are you aware of the corrupting influence of the Catholic Church during the infancy and canonization of the bible as you know it? You need to ask yourself how much filtering, editing, omission, politicizing, etc. stands between you and the message of Jesus. Take it upon yourself to get to know that man personally, without all of the filters that have been put into place, organized religion included.

I imagine any number of things could happen. My body could be cremated. It could be eaten by a shark. It could be buried in a coffin. Covered in dirt and left to rot. Made into a shake. Eaten by a polar bear. Encased in stone. Bronzed. Eaten by a tiger, lion, or cheetah. Put in a cryogenic freezer. Made into soup. Stuffed. Fed to cannibals. Used to make a body cast. Dissected by med students. I think you get the picture.

it's a belief i'm completely comfortable with. i don't want an eternal existence in heaven or hell.

In my belief system there is no hell, only a place similar to heaven. Although many pagans believe in multi dimensional space and whatnot and christians have there heaven and hell as they please.

I don't think anything happens to me. I just go away. "I" cease to exist, and my body rots in the ground.

You might think that sounds dreary, but it isn't - it makes life even more important.

When I die it'll be like before I was born. Just nothing.

Same thing that happens to puppies and chickens and penguins.
