Environment vs. Consumerism.
What has to happen and why, to make people not so complacent about their existence here and now, and for the future?
I have lots of ideas, and lots of dreams. Not everything is reasonable, but it doesn't mean that it is wrong. I would pay $6 a gallon for gas if the US provided Universal Health Care. There is a lot of give and take. And right now there is more take than give.

I would love more of a balance between nature and developed areas... A tree should never be chopped down because it gets in the way of a street light in a parking lot (this happened at Bank Of America here in San Diego)... If I have to endure cars and cars and more cars, with more pavement and cement, I'd better find more trees in that mix!!! Trees are getting left out, here in SD anyway.
I like preserving historical architecture too. When redeveloping the city, I want to see the old buildings preserved, and the new ones some how complimenting the old. Building shouldn't be left up to the property owner only. We have such a mis-match ugly thing going on with city blocks. What if we were all to agree on a particular style for certain areas of town, like in the Deco District in South Beach, Miami? It's really neat to be there where and bask in that wonderful Art Deco architecture. There should be more collaborating when it comes to development in any city.
No person should have to live on the street. There should always be a place to go when you end up with no money and no roof over you head. I want to see more ways for homeless people to get out of their predicament.
What if we all could have one or two acres to call our own?!! Rather than using property to make money, and only the people with money having it, we all get our own piece of land. No rent. That means everyone takes pride of their own space, and we don't have people who don't care about their community and litter or graffiti...
I'm done for now... I'm sure I can come up with some more stuff... When the meeting comes to help plan our planet's future, pencil me in, I'll be there!!

The lack of a broader education for the next generation. As it is now they are only learning what the government deem necessary for a financially successful lifespan, yet environmental concerns are only treated sparingly at year 10 onwards.
Educating them on the overpopulation concerns, which are the basis for why big environmentally hazardous companies won't shut down because they "need" to maintain their employees- and the new recruits that come in every generation- more and more as the population increases.
The continued unbalanced approach of the religious facilities enforcing young unhappy marriages without enough wealth to support themselves.
The push to marginalise minority groups, again.
And the individualistic approach to "making it" without concern for anybody else's life: i.e,: GREED!!

My main concern is that we as humans seem to be losing much of what makes us human. The lack of love- consideration-respect-all good values. The second concern that i have is that we seem determined to destroy our planet and all life as we now know it.

The putting of economical concerns over environmental concerns. If there is no environment there will be no economy.

That we stop polluting our air and water.
