Here's a good question. WHy are most christians such hypocrites and use double standards in almost everything? They like to cite all sorts of stuff, mostly made up, from the Quran and even try pinning what their bible says on the Quran. For example, Quran says leave apostates alone, while the bible says to kill them even if their your own children. A father can sell his daughter off into slavery for a profit. If a man dies, his brothers are "obligated" to rape the widow until she bears a son. It's not even a choice for the woman, she must allow her relatives to do this to her. Why is it difficult for them to look in their own bible, where so much worse is stated including incest? Do they have selective sight? And I've also noticed most on here, actually almost all, claim in the same sentence "I love Jesus and live for him, but I hate you for believing what you do and think everyone in your religion should be killed". What do nonchristians think about this? I've met ONE good

christian on here who actually practices what she preaches and follows the tolerance that Jesus (PBUH) displays in the bible, and she is Susan J. I used to be a Christian as well, and I know the mindset very well. They ignore the bible when it says "judge not lest ye be judged", and think they are a substitute for God judging left and right. They forget that every time they point the finger, at least 3 more are pointing back at them.

Excellent points!!! But please also be open to criticism that while the words of the Quran are quite inspiring, there are muslims who in practice, have ruined the name of their religion.
And what about you? What would you do if there are certain passages in the Quran that you find objectionable? Do you criticize your Quran or do you just accept it at face value?

Thank you so much!..................this is your statement.....And I've also noticed most on here, actually almost all, claim in the same sentence "I love Jesus and live for him, but I hate you for believing what you do and think everyone in your religion should be killed". I AM A CHRISTIAN AND HAVE NOT DONE WHAT YOU HAVE ACCUSED 'ALMOST ALL' CHRISTIANS OF DOING!!
Perhaps it is just a FEW..now I am most upset at this blanket hateful statement!! Perhaps you could show the proof you are claiming. Just when I was learning more about the differences in muslims too..i was scared of them..almost all of them..until I saw a film about a Haj on tv..and I learned so much about them..and was interested in some in this site..but now i think i will just shut up and go think on your statement.
God Bless.

I agree! That's so sad. Yesterday, I was reading a question about Christians and Masturbation, and was absolutely disgusted to see a Christian say, "Better to put your seeds in the belly of a Whore, rather than spill it on the ground."
Actually I worked in a Travel agency in the Middle East for awhile and there was a Christian Indian that had not been back to India for two years, one day he came in the office and said "OK, I'm going home! My wife has had my Baby." Everyone was obviously confused as he hadn't been home in two years so were wondering how his wife had HIS baby. He went on to explain that his Brothers sleep with his wife while he is away because she is not only the Husbands "property" but she belongs to all the men in the family...Poor Woman..
What i don't like about the Christian Religion is, if you don't Pray to Jesus and believe he is God then you go to Hell. No matter what you have done in your life. I would rather believe that God is fair and loving and not hateful like the Christians make him out to be...
God will Judge me for my Sins and My sins alone. Not Anyone Else's. The God I believe in, is Fair and Merciful and all Loving...

The most misused verse in the Bible, judge not lest ye be judged. This verse means not to judge ones inner motives. Taking a verse out of the Bible is not judging anyone, but telling one the words of God. Sorry, but Susan J is not saved. If she were a true born again, Bible believing Christian, her choice of friends and beliefs would not sit well with her.

That sounds very judgmental. And like you're pointing a finger at Christians.

That is a misery...........well if everyone just mind their own business and should let others to live on their own and believe in freedom of practising , this world become a heaven....but tolerance is so rare!! i always aviod to bring something from bible when christains like deep sky attack islam........becuase i know there are good christains and it would hurt them too........but i wish if others also start believing in it......!! its easy to bash others........but its realy difficult to look at one own flaws !! i think only a perfect person has the right to point out others........But " No one is perfect' so no one own this right to insult others !!becuase every action gets an equal reaction sometimes !

yes I agree, there is a double standard! But you see this is the way it is with all religion!! Each one thinks theirs is the only and the right path, all others are going you know where!! Religion has been the number one cause of wars, and bloodshed for thousands of years! When are people going to smarten up!! And realize that God is not on anyones side!!!

I like you and agree with everything you've said.
The Bible should be taken completely literally, word for word, when it says you go to heaven for believing in Jesus Christ. But you have to understand that there's some vagueness, cultural relativity, and translation ambiguity when it says you should stone your son to death if he gets drunk.
If you are going to be literal, be literal. Interpretive, be interpretive. Pick one and stick with it, don't switch between whichever one suits your needs at the time.
