I think many young people have the feeling it will end. I personally think that it is a deep down hope because they are scared of the future. I am not saying you're suicidal though, because this seems like a rather common.
It's funny too because every ten years there is a new popular way for it to possibly end. From nuclear threat, Global Cooling to Halley's comet to Y2K, and now Global Warming.

Your fears are interesting, in that you assume that if YOUR corner of the world suffers war and distress, that's the 'end of the world.'
Just think, the 'end of the world' has already happened for a lot of people in Iraq and Afghanistan who were attacked by the US. In the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, it's the 'end of the world' all the time, year in and year out.
Even if civilization as we know it fails to survive due to war and technological destruction, yes, even if all the humans are extincted from the planet, the Earth will continue, just as it did after the dinosaurs left.
Try to take a wider view; we are not as important as we think we are.

I think there will be a terrible atomic war in the next 5 to 10 years. I hope it will hold off for 25 to 30 years, so I can die peacefully first.

Well, those who are prepared should not fear. Yes, a lot of things are happening and I often wonder this too, my friend. I just have to remind myself that God is in control and what happens will happen at His will. There are still a lot of prophecies that yet need to be fulfilled. It could come together quickly though. Live as if you had the rest of your life but be prepared as if He were to return tomorrow. :-)

No. People have been having these kinds of feelings since long before our time. 1000 years ago, the world was much more violent and the governments much more oppressive than today.
Today we worry about the high price of gasoline; back then they would worry about getting food for the next day.

My dad is a minister so he says that the world is ending all the time. I know it'll happen but thinking about it now would ruin my mood since its unavoidable. Hopefully, it can wait about 30 years.

You've been watching too much CNN. Go for a walk or something, dude. The world will be here long after you're gone.

No, but I feel like my own world is crashing down, like the rest of the world is leaving me behind.
