Imagine sending all your tears to God, and then looking down and realizing that you are stuck in this swamp, made of your very own tears. They never reached him afterall, and now you are drowning in them. The dark night has hidden the light of God. How will you find him again? How will I find him again?

Remember when the Light was with you. Carry that memory into the darkness. Know that even in the darkness He is there walking beside you. Fear not. He said He would be with you always, He does not lie.
St. John of the Cross wrote about the "Dark Night of the Soul". It is a step to union with our beloved. It brings us closer to Him whom we love. When the darkness has lifted you will shine with the Light of Christ.

i heard once that god counts the tears a woman crys. i also heard that he holds our tears in his loving hands. you are in a dark place now, but he will not forsake you, call out to him, he will not leave you if you search for him with all your heart. only you can turn away from him. you should read the book of job. he had everything taken from him, yet remained strong in his faith. god does not promise us roses all the time, he does promise us enough love to get us through this journey so we can go home with him. and sometimes we have to believe in that love even when the sun is not shinig on us.

They may have told you God is in a book, clouds, past, or future. Gods home is at your centre, if one does not go within, one goes without. Good luck on your quest. They say of the Knights of the round table, that when starting there quest for the Holy Grail "that each entered the forest at a spot of there own choosing, where it was darkest, and there was no path". He is always there within your heart. You just have to turn to Him. He has never gone anywhere it is your consciousness that has turned away due to some disbelief or skepticism because of something that has happened or something someone someone said. God never leaves us- Never.He is His name Just Call on him I call Him Krishna, Others Jehovah, or Allah, or Vishnu. If you found him once you still have him with you. You need to pray and ask for forgiveness. Give your life to Jesus and he will take you out of this depression you are in.
