Bob Jones University also publishes elementary and high school textbooks, they were my text books as a kid while I was being home schooled. I don't remember much time being spent on a creationist perspective of evolutionary biology at all, just one chapter maybe... I'm sure University classes would have more, but I think if the info was so sparse in high school maybe they really don't have much to offer for college....just a thought.

It is a myth that a person can't be a good scientist and a believer at the same time. In fact neither medical schools or pharmaceutical companies maintain divisions of evolutionary science. The advances in experimental biology have had a core dependence on the development of new methodologies and instruments, not on an intensive immersion in historical biology and Darwin's theory. that being said I know little about Bob Jones University.

ROTFL!

Sure, you can be a Christian and good at biology (e.g. the Jesuit paleoanthropologist Pierre Teilhard de Chardin) but you can't be a fundamentalist yahoo like they have at Bob Jones University and believe in Darwinian evolution, which remains basic to modern biological science.

Nice joke.

It isn't even an accredited university (so even if you could get a good education (which I dounbt since what decent professor wants to work for a university that cannot even get accreditation) it means nothing they do not have the authority to grant degrees.)

IDFB advise your young man he won't get into a Med School, Bob Jones in NOT an accreditated University no other school and most Jobs will not acccept their degree. They have not been granted priviledges to grant degrees by any educational governing body.

I imagine it should. A young man from our young adults class is currently taking PRE-MED at Bob Jones. He travelled from New Brunswick, Canada to do so. I respect and agree with the beliefs of represented at Bob Jones wholeheartedly.
