e.g.Ally meets Jane one day,who takes a rock out of her pocket
Jane:Look here Ally, this rock is alive.
Ally:umm Jane,are u feeling ok?
Jane:of course but listen, this rock is alive.
Ally:Jane, rocks are not alive.they don't breathe and stuff that living creatures do.
Jane:of course this rock breathes and has all the characterstics that u and i do!
Ally:ok then, why don't u prove it? tell the rock to jump onto my hand or something?
Jane:why must u always rely on PROOF?! everything that science says is not correct! this rock doesn't have to PROVE itself! u must have FAITH!
Ally:you can't expect me to develop such a faith based on nothing! you'll have to give me some evidence that the rock actually is alive before i can believe in that! only if i can believe in that can i have faith! i agree that scientific evidence may not be perfect but isn't SOME evidence better than NO evidence??!
Ally walks off smirking and meets Sara
Sara:hey Ally do u believe in God?
Ally:of course!
Sara:but what proof do u have?
Ally:isn't your very existence on earth proof enough?
Sara:if i am to believe in God,u'll have to give me some proof which can't already be explained by science.
Ally:why is that so?
Sara:if people don't accept the proof that He already gives, because it can be explained by science, shouldn't he,as a last resort, use his supernatural powers to prove his existence?doing this won't cost him anything and if he really does love all people and wants everyone to realise the path to salvation, why won't he take this small trouble to prove himself? or can't he be bothered? if so,does he really love everybody?
Ally:you are wrong to expect such things from God.He doesn't need to prove Himself.u must have FAITH.
THE END

soulful says "Faith means not having proof." if u want to spread the word of God to ppl who don't already have faith shouldn't u give some BASIS for them to develop faith?

Faith is another word for "trust". So I imagine it is subjective depending on your experience in trusting people or even God.

Objectivity is subjective. typical and typical have different thoughts to them (for me a minimum of) and are perfect for various causes. no longer something is purpose contained in the classic sense, or perhaps as human beings say each thing is subjective that's authentic yet short sighted. in case you've self assurance in a classic international (as I do) then so a techniques as objectivity is going i will use it conceptually. putting forward something is subjective or purpose heavily isn't addressing element situation. putting each thing contained in the wonderful little container stated as "subjectivity" is accessible and would not truly describe something, it avoids it altogether. it truly is my objection to existentialism. that's like the most suitable bandaid end yet the wound it covers is bleeding and being contaminated. Existentialism is a denial of what you sense and is arrogant to assert the least. positive subjectivity is a very good device, yet does it get you what you want? i favor to be even with typical is, and that i got here to that end via subjective realizations. i imagine the precise answerers contained in the philosophy section don't have a clue as to what they're speaking about.

Hmmm. I think the unfortunate problem is that so many people presume that having Faith is somehow not in anyone's best interest.
In my experience, the believe that my life is in the hands of a loving, caring God, and that things will work out for the best, even if the best isn't what I initially thought that it would be. That basic leap of faith in my every day life allows me to take risks that allow me to live life in a more satisfying way. Just the basic risks like trusting my heart to the people in my life, and trusting that even if they break it, I'll be ok.

The Apostle Paul taught that "faith is the substance [assurance] of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1). Alma made a similar statement: "If ye have faith ye hope for things which are not seen, which are true" (Alma 32:21). Faith is a principle of action and power. Whenever we work toward a worthy goal, we exercise faith. We show our hope for something that we cannot yet see.

God has given us proof upon proof but because people have egos they decided that it's never enough. God doesn't have to proof anything to us. That's the point. He only wants the ones who want to go to heaven to be there. Of course, He wants us all there but we have to want to be there. You can't physically prove faith.

I really loved how you put “THE END” at the end ;) And your story is nice and fun to read. To answer your question… “faith” is only an excuse which allows people to get away with believing anything they want. Faith is for the intellectually dishonest.

Faith is the ultimate evil: it is the deliberate and intentional refusal to use the one ability which makes man something other than just another animal: the ability to think. What could be worse than to abjure your humanity?

God: This person says faith is subjective, so why are so many religions telling everyone they believe in me.
Faithful one: I guess because he didn't see that one religion is always competing with the other.
God: Why don't you explain this.
Faithful one: Because all non-believers think all of us invented you in our minds..........

Long winded, but a good point. Anything we claim to 'know' is subjective really, because it depends on how we see that situation of subject.
Mind you it is from subjectively experiencing life that we gain knowledge, then by looking back on those experiences objectively that we gain wisdom from that knowledge.
