I do wonder why it was dumped by the Crowned King and Head of the Church in England. I believe it was more politics then holiness that shaped the King James version and it's gone down hill from there as far as Bibles in English go.

Oh yes, Wyclif's English Bible was completed somewhere around 1380 and accepted.

If it is, then don't click the link. If it isn't, click away. Is there a religion out there where it's a sin to laugh or smile?

I went to a SBC church for 13 years and was very disheartened, everything was a corporation, an association, a business meeting and in this ministry I found that ministry came first not your marraige. The church I went to made a big issue about going to a business meeting (like you were going to burn in hell if you had to miss one) yet there were very rare and limited times of fellowhsips or care groups which in my opinion is MORE important than a business meeting that always is long and exhausting not to mention annoying and an infrigement on time exspecially when one has to get up for work the next day, are all SBC churches like this? I was glad to leave this church which in many ways was more like a business than a dwelling place for the Holy Spirirt? What is your take on this are all SBC churches like the one I described?

When you take the Universe as a whole (I'm busy reading Stephen Hawkin's The Universe In A Nutshell), Earth is microscopic next to planets like Jupiter - and that's just in our OWN Solar System... not to mention anything beyond that. So my question is... don't you sometimes feel like we're just too small for God to bother with??

Sometimes when you are in ministry it becomes more work and drugdery that being joyful and serving the Lord. Where I used to fellowhip there was a small number of people and not enough help with people with speciall needs and at times church was a burden than a blessing to me. My husband and I were expected to constatnly serve the congregation even when we were working 3 jobs all together just to put food on our table and rent to live. As a result I became resentful and hostile to the congreagtion we were serving What went wrong? Years ago I used to be a very loving compassionate and very tolerant and patient of others, as I have gotten older it seems like in some ways I have a short fuse, it is not the churchs fault at there were people who were needy and required constant care, the thing I found fault with that because they gave my husband the title Deacon He was expected to do everything and I was expected to comply and not say a word. Have you ever experienced this in a church?

Ok, one of the things I am considering becoming when I grow up is a priest. Ideally I would be a shaolin monk...I dont know if this is possible because I am not Chinese, anyways, it seems like every priest Ive talked to or heard of or even people Ive talked to that studied to become a priest all were very insightful and philosophical, their words had meaning and inspiration...anyways what I am asking is what kind of priest can still get married and overall what its like to be a priest.

1. Believing in God is like spending your entire life in jail waiting to see the judge

2. Simply believing the devil exist causes an unplesent feeling

3. Feeling attacked just because someone says "God is fake" is being in a very bad position

4.Feeling the need for God to watch over you is like thinking something or someone is always out to get you.

5.Christians are taught that they're nothing without God. So you spend your entire life thinking you're nothing without being accompanied?

6. Christians are taught that nobody's good. So they think they're living in a world where everyone's bad. Sounds like hell to me

God is One. There is no division as per scriptures. But even the Christians who claim to be the Pastors / Evangelists / Leaders / Bishops / Fathers / etc., don't accept the way of preaching or worships done by the various churches across the world and on the contrary they say its against the will of God. Also, they don't even like their church members to participate in any of the events organized by the other churches. If this is what the real situation, how do they expect people belong to various other religions to be baptized / converted to their religion? The Bible clearly says and warns that he who preaches the word of God, should set an example to others, in all his or her activities. While this is the fact, do you say that everyone who preaches the word of God, follows the scriptures in his or her own life? What if, when they do or do not?

What's a sin? If a man / woman commits a sin, should he or she confess either to God or to the fellow Christian?

I am seriously begining to doubt that any religion is the true religion but that God has palyed a hand in all of them. All religions seem to revolve around the Golden Rule and how applying that concept to life brings harmony/salvation.

So maybe God's true message is woven within every aspect of life including religions.

Imagine god (if you will):

Wouldn't it seem rather rude of him to make salvation based upon nothing more than where and to whom you are born? Isn't this how mist of you religious folk obtain your belief in god - through your birth right?

As a human being everyone is subjected to sin in his/her own way, either knowingly or unknowingly. No men/women is as pure as God expects according to Bible. The scripture clearly warns "The wages of sin is death". If so, do all those who preach the word of God are out of sin? If not, how can they escape from the wrath of God? Just confessing our sins to God, will it redeem our sins and make way to Heavan?

Doesn't that seem a little dishonoring to God? And mocking to Faith? What about authority from God?

Do you believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof?
