What a flippant question! The American Bible Society’s attempt to calculate the number of Bibles printed between 1816 and 1975 produced the figure of 2,458,000,000. A more recent survey, for the years up to 1992, put it closer to 6,000,000,000 (that's six BILLION) in more than 2,000 languages and dialects. Some estimates of the Bibles sold every year total 100 million, year after year. Whatever the precise figure, the Bible is by far the bestselling book of all time. According to Reuters, "Harry Potter" books have sold 325 million copies and have been translated into 64 languages.
The first printing of "Deathly Hallows" has pre-sold over 10 million books so far, and 6.9 million in the first 24 hours, according to the publisher Scholastic. That makes it the fastest selling book of the moment, which is very different from the best seller. I really enjoy the Harry Potter books, but they're not even close as a best seller compared to the Bible.

Harry Potter does not exist as he is not mentioned in the Bible... Lord of The Rings is also outselling the Bible and Penthouse outsells it every week in the USA but that's another subject.

I doubt that any Christian will convert to paganism because Harry Potter out sells the Bible, which I do not believe that it has or ever will.

Decent Christians would understand that Harry Potter is a work of fiction and that it is a harmless read with good morals, and that it does not encourage everyone to turn into pagans.

Outselling the Bible? In what sense?
Conversions dua to the 'outselling of the book(s)?
Another nonsense!
Christian faith is based upon a personal experience with Jesus (especially with experience in conquering Satan). Who cares about fictional sorcery??

The Bible has been around for centuries. I wonder how many billion copies have been either given away or sold?

I seriously doubt that Christianity has anything to worry about. And no, I would NEVER convert to paganism.

Not this Christian. Why would I exchange the genuine peace, joy, and freedom of life in Christ for anything, especially a work of fiction like Harry Potter?

First off, the Holy Bible will always be the best seller....why??? Because man has not accounted for the many Bibles that have been given out to spread the Gospel. Second, p..uu..hh..leazzzzzeeeeeeee. Our God is an awesome God and what He has in store for those who love HIm is far greater than what Harry Potter can brew up in a magic skillet!!!!!!!

no. still, the Bible is still the best-selling book of all time. it has been around MUCH MUCH LONGER than HP. also, even if HP is selling more than the Bible right now, that won't mean that all christians will automatically stop believing. the Bible's not the only part of christianity.
You are just like those people on here who said that Christians will stop believing after james cameron found Christ's "tomb". Even after that, I did not read about Christians leaving the church, did you??
