Well, simply, because when you come into this world, you are a child, and have to somewhat live under the rules of your parents. But, becoming an adult is coming to terms with what makes you who you are. Now, parents usually have some idea of who they want you to become. But, you are the one who ultimately is in control of who you become.
Every person experiences everything differently. These differences in perception make up our personalities. And, ultimately, this is what makes you who you are. Once you are no longer being dictated what you can experience, you gain the ability to try new things. And, every new thing you try shapes the person you will become.

Without change, people wouldn't mature and grow into who they are meant to be as adults. Change can be hard and scary for some people, and that's okay. There will be trials and times where you will feel like giving up, but you have to press on. Your experiences will help mold you into who you will become and shape your future. God is a major part of this process, and you can always turn to Him for guidance and truth.

Life itself is all about change. Even if a person stays in bed 24/7, they are ever-changing in both a physical and psychologial way. At any given age, someone 10 years ahead of us is considered "older". Think about it: at 2 years old, someone age 12 appears older; someone at 20 years thinks 30 is older; even someone at 75 years thinks of someone at 85 years as older.

Because, as you move on through life you learn, and experiance things which mold your character...these events change you and how your life goes will shape who you become. Change is simply learning the lessons and adapting because of what you have learned. Change is truly something essential to knowledge.

Because if you stay the same way you were when you were born, then the human race wouldn't have survived at all. It probably wouldn't have even evolved.
