Science is the art of explaining observable actions, behavior, phenomenon, etc. Therefore, if something doesn't fit within the boundries of science as described above, does it exist? Personal experience, although subjective, claims "paranormal events occur". If they are not repeatable, or don't conform to our notions of real, do they exist? Is there an objective external reality to which we are slaves to? I think there has to be.

I am from Northeast Ohio in the U.S. I live in the "Bible Belt" - people from out of town joke that while in the city there is a bar on every corner, where I live there is a Church on every corner. I find that there are people of all views here and all levels of acceptance. You can find those who seek out souls to save, and those who completely reject religion altogether. I would say you can live a long happy life with any belief in this area, without too much controversy as long as you don't throw your views onto people. What about where you are from? Would you say that religion makes a big difference as to how people treat you, where you are from? Do people react negatively to people who are not of the main religion in your area?

4And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

5And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

6And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days. Revelation 12:4-6

Most of sinful and alchohlic christians are being afflicted by God with STD (Sexually transmitted diseases) including AIDS and Hepatitis. Why not you tell your god that Jesus has paid the price and do not afflict us due out sins and crimes??? Or your sins and crimes exceeded than price paid?

Savior is only God.
I, even I, am Yahweh; and beside me there is no savior…a just God and a Savior; there is none beside me” (43:11; 45:21).

Isn't belief in a universe created by God at least as logical as belief in a universe created by some freak accident? Why are you attacking theists for being 'illogical'?

My own view is that any religious viewpoint in the public sphere is fair game for critical analysis. I assume that if I put my beliefs out in public some will agree and some will try to cut them down. I reckon this is a good thing, and I can even learn new things if I'm not too thin skinned.

So where do you draw the line?

why on earth do you guys seem furthest from each other , when you are most likely closest in beliefs ?
Christians why all the hate for a religion that respects your founder more than most religions ?
Muslims why all the hate for those who share the OT with you ?
both of you
why cant you be brothers and sisters with your belief in the same God ?
I don't get it

I'm in a relationship where the man that i am with it christians. when we have conversations over religion, and i tell him that i don't believe in the bible, his reaction makes me feel like a dumb a$$.
I'm a american, the right to religion or not. He basically makes it seems like thats not how life is suppose to be.
I just want to live my life to the fulliest without anyone telling me its ungodly!

after all i only have one life to live. right or wrong its mine!
ya' i would be punished if i do bad. I just want to see the beautys of this world.

Do christians ever take the time out to think that what type of god would create them/ human beings just to live their life praising him. Sounds arogant to me!

you only have one life to live and its to praise god, only to die and praise him some more? what do think?

Is this true - this is not a question about whether he had children or not. This is a question about this particular link some christians appear to be making. Are they claiming that all sex even within a marriage is sinful - because how does that work alongside 'go forth and multiply'?

I am confused was sex so 'dirty' that the messiah couldnt lower himself to it because it would cast the shadow of sin over his holyness?

If we sin we are slaves to sin.

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone
we are not to judge or condemn each other.
But we need to admit when the water is swirling all around us that we are in danger of drowning. CHRIST RAN ALL OF THE ACCUSERS AWAY. THE ADULTRESS WAS NOT STONED TO DEATH BECAUSE OF HIS WORDS.
SHE COULD NOT SAVE HERSELF
WE CANNOT SAVE OURSELVES
WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES------WE ALL NEED A SAVIOR
IS THIS AT LEAST FOOD FOR THOUGHT?????

I have hopped all over the religious scale at various points in my life - from complete Athiest to church going Christian, in an attempt to find my comfort zone. I feel pretty secure in my beliefs now, and from my experiences, it seems to me like no matter who you are or what you believe, you feel persecuted by someone, at some point.

Do you feel any one religion or non-religion is persecuted more than others? Or do you feel that no matter what your stance your going be subject to debate by someone who disagrees? There is no happy medium is there? Lol*

http://scriptures.lds.org/en/john/14/21#21 see verse 23 also.
moses saw god face to face and shrank because he thought he would die. the israelites said the same thing but the nobles of israel clearly saw God, even his glory. But what if a man was once worthy like king saul, or was it solomon? who saw God twice. and yet afterward backslid and he no longer was able to live for God or live life to the fullest in the flesh. Truly a man who sees God has very little desire to sin, but sin is death, and death doesnt mean instantly?
Can it be that this other verse is also traditionally misunderstood?
