No, but you observation that Atheism lights a fire in many of its followers that matches that of many believers of other religions is absolutely true.
I've seen atheists so adement and fanatic that I became convinced Atheism is in some respects another religion.

Evangelize is a wrong term to be used. Evangelism is type of religious propaganda made popular by tv evangelists like Billy Graham. We atheists should boldly put forward our convictions and not keep silent. We are the fourth largest group on the planet but do not have a lobby as we tend to be silent about our convictions. We should lobby for our rights and also note our status in official communications and census. One should also note that the religious 'teachings' are shoved down the throats. Atheists do not do that, they argue about their convictions and that is not force.

i do no longer know it.... If there is not any God, does not there be no reason to talk approximately him? in any respect? For any reason? Why shoudl they attempt to cajole human beings out of religion? What do they earnings by technique of attempting to transform others? some do, yet i understand that as quickly as i grew to become into no longer a believer, god grew to become right into a non difficulty, so there grew to become into no evaluate even speaking approximately it. this is to no longer say atheists could under no circumstances talk approximately God, yet they might desire to no longer attempt to transform. My 2 cents besides.... EDIT: Wow, i'm sorry. you weren't precisely sparkling on that. thank you for the thumbs down. No, I grew to become an atheist on the arms of my own examine and perception, and then later a believer for an analogous reason. and that i think of maximum people who're atheists already have some theory that there is not any God. They then have minds inquisitive adequate to ask questions and challenge the ideals they have been given. Then they logically come to a end. i think of people who may be confident by technique of yet another persons words are idiots and a probability to themselves and society. And definite, i think an analogous way approximately people who blindly hear to missionaries too. so a great way as John Safran being clueless, he called Darwin and "evolutionary biologist" which he wasn't, he grew to become right into a sailor and a birdwatcher...... there grew to become into no such difficulty as an evolutionary biologist back then....

I've noticed this myself. But I don't know that I disagree. The best way to stop a plague is to educate those to it. With the state of the world now days and the fact that a good portion of the issues stem from religion can anyone of good conscience sit idly by and watch the religious destroy the world?

Everyone should keep a respectful style of discussion. As an atheist I feel no need to "evangelize" but I feel free to express my well-considered opinion, and to point out flaws in the logic of others if I think there are some.

I don't believe atheists have ever killed, tortured, and enslaved indigenous peoples or started wars over "holy" lands or conflicting beliefs. So really our "recruiting" if we ever decided to do so, would be far beyond the criticism of most religions, Christian and Islamic in particular.

Frankly, as a Christian, I know this is bad, but I don't care if athiests go to hell. It's not my call. So, if they can discuss things like cause and effect, explain away all the discrepency's in evolutionary theory, It's not my problem. It's their choice.

Why would it be as bad for us to "recruit" as it is for Christians to do so?
You seem to have a problem telling right from wrong. They're not equivalent. It seems like most Christians think they are.
