We can, Hell, there's even a verse in the Qu'ran that says Christians are going to Heaven with us:
Surely those who believe, and those who are Jews, and the Christians, and the Sabians, whoever believes in God and the Last day and does good, they shall have their reward from their Lord, and there is no fear for them, nor shall they grieve.
2:62
Well basicly you can be of any religion and fill the requirement above and be qualified for Heaven, but Christians were clearly mentioned.
The people I hate are just those ignorant ones who insults, who doesn't hate insults?
Anyways, I'm willing to be friends though.

Because some of the believers in these religions have been driven insane by the mind control the religions impose on them. Whatever the books say doesnt matter they are driven insane and read the words in the books completely diffrently from what they say. That is why they are at war with one another they have diffrent beliefs in what their god wants them to do.
Why if they believe in an all powerfyll god do they seem to think he wants us to do anything for him. He is all powerfull and doesnt need us to pray,go to church or anyhthing. That is all part of the controll the religous leaders put into place so followers will do whatever they say. And the reason for the muslims and christians not getting along is power. Religous leaders want more power and so want their form of the religion to be the only form of religion and then everyone will do what they say.
Its the insanity of Religion at full steam.

You might be directing this question towards a '''group''' of Muslims but Muslims in general do not hate Christians. If you go to countries like Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, or Jordan there are a signifacant amount of Christians and Muslims living side by side, and they all get along well. It's true that muslims do have some differences in religion than Christians but that doesn't mean Muslims hate Christians; again you could just be referring to a group or one Muslim or Muslims who hate Christians even though the thoughts of a few people shouldn't make you think ill about a whole religion.

Many Christians blame the animosity of the muslims for their own hatred, but if we look at history we can see that the first act of violence came from Christians who felt threatened by the muslims. They massacred every man, woman, and child in the city of Jerusalem. They created a rift between the east and the west, and are still trying to shift the blame onto the other side, causing more hatred and violence. Perhaps if both sides admitted to the atrocities that they had commited and apologized, we could have peace. But the west continues to portray Islamic society as barabaric and violent, denying what we have done to these people over the years. As the Dalai Lama said, where ignorance is our master, there is no possibility of real peace...

There is no "hate" with real, true born again Christians, because even to hate someone is to kill them in your mind. It is very much against the Ten Commandments. Hate is a mis-used word, commonly used by many false religions and proclaimed Christians who still live like heathens. We true born again Christians do not believe in the same God that the muslims do! The muslims don't believe Jesus is the Son of God, and they call their god allah. Also we true Christians know that Jesus died for our sins on the cross and the muslims do not. Sorry if the truth hurts, just that we true born again Christians don't follow and get caught up in worldy religions.
1John 2:15 "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the Father is not in him."
16 "For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world"
17 "And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth forever."
I don't know if you will understand exactly what these verses mean, but they mean that we are not suppose to be "of the world" but only to live a Godly life. We do not indulge in sin and lusts of the world because they are heathen and not of God. The last verse means that all these lusts and the evil will pass away, but we that do the will of God will be with God forever. Usually a person who is not saved will not understand the Bible like a saved person does. Also,
1Corinthians 15:33 "Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners."
Another reason we only fellowship with other true Christians. I am here to tell people the truth, not lies. The truth is in the Holy Bible (KJV) 1611.

To be a muslim you have to believe in the bible..
So our religions are the closest. and we do believe in the same God. Muslims just call it Allah as you cannot make a sex out of the name like God you represent it as Male and Godess as female.
The people that hate each other are because they want to think they are better than the other but muslims should know that they have to believe in the 5 books of god to be a muslim.
By the way i am a christian but im in a relationship with a muslim so i know quite a bit lol

The hate exists because they don't believe they worship the same God!
All rivers lead to the ocean, but not with religion. Karl Marx said "Religion is the opium of the people" - people are brainwashed into hating in the name of God! The all believe that their God is the 1 true God!
Anything which requires blind faith should be treated with suspicion!
I say forget religion and just live life according to a strict code of ethics (e.g. Do unto others as you'd have done unto yourself), which is supposedly the basis of all religions!

because half these people have been brainwashed into taking in lies and seeing them as facts .just look at the answers and the worst hate is coming from Christians .But they just cant see it
i`m not a Muslim but i do know there are plenty of Arabic Christians and Jews living in Muslim countries and they`re not forced to change religion and they haven't had their heads chopped of there were even over a million Christian Iraqis before the invasion but not any more there are many Palestinian Christians but western Christians think nothing of of their suffering and its not caused by Muslims
people need to find out there own truth and not believe the lies that come from the money grabbing power mad few its the only way anything can ever change

The answer is complex in that it has *two* parts|
The first type of motivation is because of those who love truth above all else and who wish to see the victory of what is true over what is false|
To them truth matters, in that all points of view cannot be valid because of the law of *non-contradiction|* For example, Christianity teaches that God is a Trinity, Islam explicitly denies that same fact| Because both are contradictory statements, both cannot be true at the same time, so one of them has to be invalid.
The second type of motivation is by those who see ideas as merely weapons against others or as a means to get what they want|
To them, truth does not matter at all, but ideas and words are just put out there to have a given effect in the target's mind to secure a given advantage|
So there can be strife when truth confronts falsehood, or strife because words and ideas are used as weapons in a kind of war|

Well ...... it boils down to the common person .... Jesus Christ .....
To Christian, he is God / Son of God / messiah/ a part of the Holy Trinity. Christians believes that and it is entirely because of that they felt superior as they are following the person who is having Godhood. He will be the last an final to appear.
To the Muslim, he is just another prophet and a lesser prophet to the last and supposingly most accurate prophet, Mohammad. He is not the messiah as promised as he does not fulfill the prophecy,
Hence, in certain sense, Christians felt the Muslims is committing Blasphemy (an unforgivable sin) against God (Jesus Christ) and they have to make it right. Muslims felt Christians are bending the "holy book" by creating a "new testament" and nullified the original version hence making them looks bad and hence based on the book, they are supposed to make it right by declaring Holy war (nothing new since the Crusders uses the same clause).

At the moment, in the world, Muslims are one of the top persecutors of Christians. Christians should show love and grace towards Muslims (and everyone else), but Christians can't say that Muslims are right when they're not. The post-modern world seems to be losing the idea of objective truth.
