I want you (the reader of this question) to close your eyes, and tell me what you see...

Now if what you see is darkness, is this what it would look like if you(your consiousness) didn't exist? but how could we see darkness if we didn't exist? What does non existance look like?

I personally believe that once something exists it can never not exist

Even when you close your eyes and see darkness, your consciousness is intact; you may succeed in blanking your mind, and get to use your real consciousness but that is another topic.

See yourself as some form of consciousness, around which your body is wrapped. That consciousness, or Soul, is the real you. Your body and mind happen to be the instrument you use to communicate in this physical world.

You are somewhat right that once something exists, it never ceases to exist. Soul never dies; it may change its external appearance like when someone dies and drops the body. Your consciousness is therefore what you came to the world with, and what you take with you after you have worked on it in a lifetime.

Imagine, if you could, the feeling of sleep. The time between your falling asleep to the time you wake up is probably what it is to not exist -- minus the dreaming.

Personally, I see movement withing the eyelid. I think non existence is unimaginable only because you would not KNOW that you don't exist

Have you ever had a general anaesthetic? That is what non-existence is like, except that it's permanent.

Well, I believe it's our bodies that 'see', it is the "I" inside the body, that is really me. I exist, because "I" am here, in this body and aware.

If your consciousness doesn't exist, that means your brain is dead. If your brain is dead, you can't see anything because you don't exist.
