Oh, Rosalind, thank you! The cover picture and story was of an amputee. My mate, though not an amputee (when the bones and muscles atrophied in her right leg after a field hockey accident (mainly the fault of the doctor, and this was the late '70s) an infection prevented her from getting the leg amputated, which was what she always wanted so she could get a prosthetic) it made me think of her immediately, and she is my joy and inspiration. After many years in and out of the hospital for pain I have never once heard her complain or say she was too tired to go to work. She has worked in a psychiatric hospital for 12 years and the compassion and kindness she brings to her patients is simply the most beautiful thing in the world. I honestly believe she makes the sun rise every morning. I LOVE that site, and I love the spiritual coincidence of the cover story.
