religion should be for people only, but unfortunately, people are killing other people in the name of religion.

It is religion for the people and not people for religion. Religion is a device to guide the people towards spirituality. What is the use of religion if it doesn't show the path to the people. nagarajan.

It is both, people create religion and in turn their religion creates them. People create religions to A) have something to believe in B) To explain the unexplainable. In turn according to the religion that they have created they become who they are by what they believe in.

The religions were made for the people and every race were sent prophets and texts,commandments or testaments to guide the people falling prey to satans will, who at the time of first born humanity, he didnot respected the creation of man and vowed to misuse his almighty's given power that iam superior to human beings.
Man has been given free wills to do good or bad and abstain from it vice versa. the almighty is good in all espects and wants people to do good, but he has to give his tests by passing through it, as if in a field there are all thorny trees and there is only one passage through it, how we will cross it?
so the world created by him was good but the persons did good & bad and when bad overcame good he sent down the prophets with a way in the darkness to a right path to attain complete bliss. They were given texts or inspiration from the almighty but they were changed by wicked persons and made innovations in there texts, but truth is prevailling in one form or the other. the almighty says if all people becomes bad or good they cant add or lessen his grade, but they will lessen there own grade. finally when all the people will die, they will be ressurected, judged according to thier deeds and allotted hell or heaven fore ever.

helper: "Religion" is for people but people were made for a relationship with their Creator ( called: "spirituality" ). It is religion which potches up Christianity. Christianity is to be comprised of spirituality, which in turn, promotes relationship with God. Religion attempts to promote worship of God through ritualistic man-made ways and means (legalism - dos & don'ts) ; whereas, God demands of His followers to worship Him in both, "spirit and truth".
