I've heard of people taking their grocery carts home from stores like Walmart because carrying their stuff is just too heavy for them, but isn't this illegal? if it is, are they ever fined for stealing one?

A while back, there were a lot of threads on YA about poor tipping among blacks. I am black. I go to a lot of restaurants. My friends and I always tip 20%. So, I was shocked to read the comments on YA, b/c I never knew it was a real issue.

I even discussed the matter with my friends, who then swapped embarrassing stories of dining with cheap relatives and co-workers. And that made me more curious about the topic.

Well, last weekend I decided to do my own research. After eating dinner and paying the bill, I very diplomatically asked the waiter if he found that African-Americans tend to tip less. He (also very diplomatically) said yes, and it prompted a brief and good discussion.

I appreciated the waiter's frankness and honesty, but I got mixed reactions from my friends for what I did. One friend was so mortified that he left the table to wait outside.

Even though it's a little awkward, I want to ask more waiters this question. Do you think it's okay or inappropriate?

I would like your honest opinion if you have ever been that person that had bad breath or the person who had to tell someone about their breath. How did you address that person? Do you take your toothbrush and toothpaste and brush after lunch? Or do you just pop in some gum and call it a fresh day?

This man has been working for 3 years under the group I manage, and he is a great worker. After he announced his wedding to everyone, he said that he preferred cash over any other gift. I am kind of tight on my budget because I am looking to buy a house. I was thinking to give him a gift of no more than $100, but after hearing his preferences I feel pressured to give him cash and I feel awkward giving him the $100 because it may be seem as too little.
Is $100 too little for a wedding present?

when you step into the CEO's office, he's on the phone, and doesn't seem in the least bit to finish the call. You're standing there, waiting to discuss something but you don't have all day neither. Can you just walk away? He's not even looking to you so you can signal him that you will be back. What's a person to do?

My mom has some flowers that the rabbits eat so we have a BB Gun ready in case we see one out the window. My family has injured and even killed rabbits because of this. I am very much against shooting them. I have tried to make them listen but they just won't.

Also, we have a live trap to catch squirrels [they eat the flowers as well]. Then we release them in the country. That I'm okay with because it doesn't hurt them. But what should I do???

If you found your older bro's gf say something bad about him on her facebook or myspace profile (they are having a fight), would you defend your bro and write his gf to stop her action, tell her to grow up? If so, wouldn't that be considered as interrupting their relationship? Or let them alone? What would you do? (you and ur bro + the gf are all adults)

Plus don't they realize that is personal and i may not ever see their son again???...i figured if they would ask me that...WHAT ELSE WILL THEY ASK???
