People who give money for wedding gifts are unsure of your needs or don't know you well or just plain lazy. But, hey, they are generous so ... say something like: Dear Uncle Bob, Thank you so much for coming to our wedding. (Or ... sorry you couldn't come to the wedding - you were missed.) The occasion was more special because you were there. Thanks too for your generous check. We have not earmarked it for anything particular yet but when we use it we will let you know and we will cherish your gift.

I am also doing this at this time, as i just got married last week. What i am writing is,
Thank you so and so for the gift of x amount of dollars. We put the money together and used it to buy household items we needed.
Than if the person attended the wedding or reception i also added it was nice to see them there to help us celebrate our new life together.
This is what i did. Hope it helps you out. Congrats.

Sorry, yet you theory incorrect; it is a adverse theory. possibly issues are distinctive in Mexico yet almost all non-Hispanic people could locate it offensive for the invitation to show something in any respect approximately presents. Even "no presents please" is considered a gaffe. the assumption is which you're meant to be inviting people on account which you care approximately them, and getting a present in return to your invitation under no circumstances crosses your techniques. So what your question would desire to be is "How am i able to maneuver my potential travelers into asking what style of present we would like?" in the event that they convey the region up, then you truly are unfastened to furnish them some prevalent tricks. We used to do our RSVPs via telephone, with bridesmaids and groomsmen handing a great variety of the calls. for the time of the verbal replace, people could basically approximately continually ask how dressed as much as get, what style of social gathering to assume, and the place the bride replaced into registered. The reaction would desire to provide countless thoughts, like "They assemble Colonial era pewterware, they are registered at WalMart and Cartier, and that i'm helpful they had welcome contributions to the honeymoon fund." positioned a telephone variety top decrease than the letters RSVP interior the decrease top of the invitation. approximately 3 weeks when you mail them out, your helpers start up calling people to "ask if the invitation have been given lost interior the mail." this would be a polite thank you to nag people into letting the host recognize no count if or no longer they settle for or be apologetic approximately. Your helpers nag relentlessly till definitely everyone seems to be nailed down. Why present day brides take care of those high priced and bothersome reaction enjoying cards is a secret to me.

Dear Mr. Higgins,
Thanks for the dough!

No just joking, I think it would be nice to say what that money helped you purchase, for instance, thank you for the money, it really helped make our honeymoon extra special, or thank you for the money we are putting it in our savings account for our first home!

"Thank you for your thoughtfulness" or "Thank you so much for your generosity" something like that. If you have something specific you know that money will go toward, you could mention it. "Your gift will help us send our kids to college/ furnish our new home/ etc."
