naturally, I will offer the delivery guys something to drink. Should I tip them as well? If so, how much?

IMHO it depends on how much effort the delivery guys expend - if it is a simple deal - in and out then a tenner would be perfect - especially if you give them a drink also. If they take good care not to bump into other furniture on the way in, clean up all the mess, and are just generally great then a $20.00 is ample - along with a thank you to their boss for doing a good job. People are very quick to complain when something goes wrong but rarely let the boss know when the employees are great. Enjoy your new bed!

No, you normally would not tip for such a delivery unless they have to do something above and beyond the call of duty to get your mattress where it goes, even if it goes upstairs. About the only home deliveries that are customary to tip for are food (pizza, etc.) or flowers. It's nice that you offer them drinks and that you ask this question. You are obviously a kind person. Rest in peace on your new mattress!

I do agree that if they go out of their way to be helpful, like having to move your old mattresses or having to snake through a narrow hallway or the biggie, having to carry them up stairs, then yeah, drop them a ten each.

you don't need to give them anything. they get paid. however, if they do something extra, like moving a piece of firniture, then it's okay to give them a few bucks each.
i just thought of something. please excuse me if i'm out of line but, were you by any chance talking about another kind of tip?

Um.. it depends. if they do a little work, then yeah i would say like 5 or 7 bucks each.
