I am sorry that the wild life are eating the flowers, but I myself believe in hunting for food, not for sport. If no one hunted, the wild life would over run the streets, and even more people would be hitting deer and other large animals with their cars. So there needs to be some kind of balance. I really respect your opinion, I just wanted to give you one aspect to think about from another view. Thanks! I hope you can come to some kind of compromise

Cant you use the Have A Heart trap for the bunnies also? Gee that is cruel to plant flowers when you know it will attract the rabbits and then kill them. Those traps are made in larger sizes if you need . I wonder if you could work for the money to build a fence so the rabbits couldnt get into where the flowers are. I am so sorry. Rabbits are smart and get to know you if you let them be pets.

do they eat the rabbits?if so, i can almost understand but, if not, what they're doing isn't considered hunting at all. at least, not in the true sense of the word. there are some other flowers you can plant that the rabbits don't like. i've heard marigolds work. killing then just to protect flowers is wrong.

You are gonna do what you want, but I wouldn't kill an animal unless there is no choice. You have the choice. So the bunny eats the flower, big deal... I'd say shoot someone in your family with the BB and show them how it feels. Maybe that's not such a nice suggestion, but it would definatly get the point across.

Contact a local pest/animal control company. They may have a solution for your rabbit problem without employing the "final solution" to it. Look in the yellow pages under "pest" or "animal" control. If no luck, try calling your local city hall or chamber of commerce. They may know someone who can help you.
Good Luck!

Think of a few ways to keep the rabbits away. Tell them to your family and talk to them about it. Maybe you or your family will think of something. Maybe you can build a fence around it?

You are allowed to have your own opinions... if it really matters that much to you, maybe you should offer the option of trapping them and releasing them to your family.... they might just listen seeing this seems to be a topic that you are really passionate about.
