I wonder how many people is going through the same thing I do everyday. And how you handle them ? My boss is a not-so-smart type of guy. The problem is that he thinks he is smart. He has no vision and no understanding of what is going on. He will collect information from everyone and put it together as his own words. In meetings, he will start talk like he is in chage and try to push people around. He act like he knows the subjects, but when you ask him more questions, he ran out of material to say. The only thing he si good at is kissing *** to upper mangement and shielding the upper management from talking to us( the working class).

I have always wonder what can make him where he is today.
My only explanation iis that he is a lucky bastard.

Anyone feel my pain at their work places ? how do you deal with jerk boss like that ?

Personally, I use particular words due to the lack of a better word, to describe someone (or someones actions ) to cut through the bulls**t. No pun intended. The point usually is crystal clear after that!

use some advice. long story, but basically i have a friend who has been annoying me for about the past 6 months or so. she is 10 years older than me, and kind of treats me like a child. she always wants to get together(we're both married) but i am comfortable doing my own thing, chillin' at home with the hubby, etc. i don't have a need to do somethinig all the time. i'm also not the kind of person that plans my whole weekend out. i end up doing whatever plays out. she will ask me on monday to do something saturday, but i just can't make that kind of committment that far in advance for something not so important. i end up saying maybe, but then i just want to relax, and she gets mad and tells me she's "disappointed" in me.

it shouldn't be this hard to be friends with someone, but she intimidates me so it's very hard to be honest with her, and when i am, she blows it out of proportion and gets very defensive.

I found some money in with some litter at the edge of the street. No way to tell how long it was there.

If it was just some coins, no one would think it was stealing to pick it up and keep it.

If it was thousands of dollars an Honast man would turn it in for the owner to claim it.

How much would it have to be before it becomes stealing to just take it?

On several occasions, I have gotten gifts that were so abysmal, I wished I had gotten nothing at all.

One time, a friend came from abroad to spend a few months in my house. He presented me with a t-shirt.... the ugliest, most god-aweful t-shirt you could imagine. It wasn't just a matter of taste; he never wore anything like this, and everyone agreed this was something he picked up at the airport out of a remainder bin.

Another time, I let a family stay with me, rather than letting them spend thousands of dollars on an apartment for the summer. I also lent them my car many days, while I took the train. This time, I had no worries about bad gifts. They gave me nothing.

Recently, I had another foreign visitor. He presented me with a tin of cookies, a $3 tin of cookies. Of all the bad gifts, this one was probably the least offensive, but I would rather get nothing than some weak excuse for a real gift.

In each case, money was not a problem for them
.
How do you feel?

It seems as though the "white" wedding gown no longer has the meaning that it used to. I attended a wedding last month...the bride wore white...this couple already has two children out of wedlock. Is this really proper? Also, is it proper for a bride to wear a white wedding gown when it is a second marraige? (veil, train..the whole schmear all over again)

This seems to happen to me a lot while im walking. I come across someone and we both meet up. I move to one side and he moves to the same side, i try to move to another side and he moves to the same side. I just stood there and he also just stood there.
We both laughed and I just told him "you first", was that the right thing to do :) or how should I avoid this next time?

I was setting up extra chairs in the living room for a little get-together the other day---all while Sarah, my girlfriend's friend, sat and did nothing. As I sat up the last chair, I looked at her with a smirk, saying, "Yeah, don't help out or anything."

"A real man wouldn't need help," she retorted, a cocky expression on her face.

I said, "Well, I'm sorry, Sarah. But not all men are built like you."

My girlfriend thinks I should apologize. But I don't think I have anything to be sorry for.

In the beginning of our 2 year relationship when I would eat dinner with his parents,I would help clean up the kitchen and wash dishes.,but his mom would always end up grabbing the dish out of my hand telling me in Spanish that she was going to wash them. This happened many times and soon I just started to not help wash. I'd pick up my plate and put food away, and that was it.Then last week I started to rinse the dishes and my boyfriend told me "No! Leave it there" in a stern voice, and I said "no, I'm going to rinse them..." but then again he said no. So, I left the dish by the sink. Then later that night him and I were talking and he said, "you aren't self motivated, and even my parents notice it by how you don't help out around here, like how you don't help my mom wash dishes after dinner."I broke down crying because I'm not that type of girlfriend who just goes to a house and makes a mess.I would do anything for his parents! I need advice on how to show them that I am self motivated

My grandmother had two black eyes,, it looks like someone punched her in the face. we asked her but shes not all there mentally.. My Mom has called both my aunt and uncle and said its urgent they try to take her to a nursing home by them and help,, they both laughed it off and told my mom she probably fell down and have no interest in even looking at my grandma.
We have no money, they both have over 1 million dollars..
Why do they not care?

In the past year, there have been several kids in my subdivision trashing the neighborhood - throwing garbage all over, and coconuts they knock off trees, and worst of all, they terrorize the neighborhood ducks and their chicks. One day, about 15 kids smashed one ducks eggs to bits and their parents just watched. The parents let their dogs run loose (and just stand there laughing as the dogs try to attack the ducks) or if they have them on a leash, they bring them to pee on my fence. I am a single woman. A lot of them are aware of that and how I feel. I tried talking to the association after I saw the parents attitudes, but they didnt offer much help. The past 2 weeks Ive had to repair my tires 3 times after finding 4 nails in them. What can I do (seriously)? Is what theyre doing to the ducks illegal? I just feel like Im in the twilight zone...people are so incredibly inconsiderate and mean these days.
