You open a door for someone, and they walk right through without even acknowledging you? I know some people have no manners or tact, but it irritates me to no end, when someone does such a thing. Makes me want to slam the door on them.

someone is coming to clean my floors and walls tomorrow (I just moved in and the place needs some professional help) I feel akward sitting on my butt while they clean, but I don't feel trusting enough to leave them alone in the apartment with my stuff.

I gave a party for my boyfriend, He laughed and joked for hours in spanish with his friends, I do not understand Spanish. I asked that he please speak English which we all understand. He didn't. He continued to laugh and joke with them knowing I would not be able to join in, He said that was not rude. or disrespectful to me. Who os wrong?

I took the time to cook a fabulous home cooked Chilean meal for a friend of mine, Mr David Doherty. This so called friend came, ate my wondrous curry I cooked, then took ALL my Chilean food. This is forgiveable, however to take this food with him, he 'conveniently' forgot to bring something to take it home in.
So being the nice guy that I am, I lent him my tupperware dish on the promise that I'll get it back soon.

Now I have a wife who loves making comments like "You can store it in that tupperware container David gave back to you" and "That tupperware container was our biggest and best one".

Now I'm not big on tupperware, but living with comments like this can be quite tiresome.

My question is this:

When oh when will Mr David Doherty return this tupperware back to me?

I was always taught to hold the door open for people behind me, among other manners. At [my high] school, after the bell rings I hold the door open for the people behind me as I leave the class. I usually hold it open long enough for the people relatively close to me to leave, then I'll leave for my next class. Should I stay and hold the door open for all the people to leave, or should I just I just continue what I am currently doing? I've probably enough time to stay and hold the door open for everyone, and I don't want to seem rude. Is it considered impolite to just hold the door open for a short amount of time and then let the door close while others are still exiting, and should I stay to hold the door open? My classes consist of fifteen to thirty people. Thanks.

Ok yall since Valentine's Day is comming up I have gone and bought some gifts from my co-workers. I bought nice mugs, chocolate hearts and candy bags. I have put them in nice gift bags. I plan to give them to all my co-workers. Do you guys think that its too personal to give a gift like that to all my co-workers? I am gay and everyone is cool with me. But I just dont want people to freak out when I give it to them . Do you guys think that this is a too personal gift to give your co-workers?

I work at a local grocery store, and Sunday nights are our slowest nights of the week, so i'm out blocking my isles that i have to do, and fixing other isles and doing other things. I stay close to the area that i run (video,lottery,tobacco)...but if i'm not there right away when the customer is there they get so pissed at me. Sometimes its hard to see them standing there.

anyways, why are people so impatient? why do i have to be standing behind the counter the entire shift when nobody is there when i have other things that i need to be doing. Some people stand there and look at movies, so i don't think they need anything..then they get mad and walk away...

There's a principal in our town that is absolutely horrible. Many students, parents and teachers have had problems with her and we want to get her out. The DOE (Department of Education) is too cowardly to get rid of her and she's very slimy. It seems that our complaints go nowhere and she continues to ruin the lives of kids in the community. What's the best way to put pressure on her so that she'll be held accountable for what she has done?

Whenever a family member or friend praises me on something I do right or well I always push them away and get uncomfortable.
I hate being complimented because I don't know what to say.
I've tried saying just "thanks" but then there is that awkward silence.
What do I say to compliments?

...and she ended up being a dyke.
NOT that there's anything wrong with that, but the militant attitude kinda got me goin' a bit...
Now my neck and back were hurting and it's not in my nature to get out hoppin' "Oh, my neck!"... but she totaled my car and was riding my butt for a good minute or two before she umm...SLAMMED me!
Do you think I should say something about my back hurting? I don't really want to, but it does.
BTW...
I was raised by screaming queens, so let's not get on the gay bus, okay?

We are having a 60th birthday party for my mother at a nice Greek restaurant in Saskatchewan, where the average meal cost is $15-$25. There will be 22 guests in attendance. I'm assuming that the meal cost after drinks and tax will be around $500. What is the appropriate amount for a gathering such as this? We have eaten here before and the service is usually very good. My dad is paying for it and tends to be cheap (would possibly leave only $20 or so) and I want to ensure we don't leave a bad impression! Thank you!
