I have a co-worker who I really don't care for. He lives in S - a small town, and I live in M - a larger city nearby. He wants to go visit some friends in P, and there is a bus that goes from M to P. He wants to know if he can crash on my couch at my house in M so he can catch the bus in the morning to go to P. He doesn't have a car. I really don't want him at my house like...EVER. How do I gracefully bow out? Not just this time, but everytime from now on, because I know he will ask again. He had been crashing on another co-worker's couch, but she's kind of burned out from him too (he has a draining personality). Keep in mind that this isn't your normal office - it's a small performing arts facility where we are more like family than co-workers.

I notice that people tend to smoke if or when they're bored, hungry, upset, stressed or for what ever other reason. So after you have smoked a cigarette, does it make you feel less stressed, bothered, relaxed or what? I know smoking marijuana makes you feel relaxed but how does smoking a cigarette make you feel? Also, what made you start smoking? Why did you start? I'm taking a poll. Thanks!

i am going to college for education right now, i am anemic and there are days i feel soo weak, one of the days was exam day , i just happened to miss my exam, i couldn't even try to reach my teachr because i was soo tired, i told him about it the next day i came to class, he is thinking about letting me retak, he isn't promising anything. he also says he'll give a bonus credit of 20 pts. next week, i think i had a good reason to miss it, being anemic is a challenge so what do you think, will he understand in the end and let me re-take the exam worth 50 pts?

My boss has 3 of his 4 children working with him, and his daughter always has her little chihuahua at work with her. I love dogs, don't get me wrong, but I just think it's unprofessional. At times the dog has crapped or peed on the floor (once right in front of my office door and I REFUSED to clean it up). If you came into a meeting to discuss a loan or selling your business to my boss (happens frequently), what would you think if you saw a dog running around?According to company policy, I am not supposed to bring my daughter to work with me because this is not a day care center. But the boss' daughter can bring her dog? A different set of rules for the boss' family I suppose. Thoughts?

My upstairs neighbor of over 3 years is having her 26th birthday tomorrow and I was thinking of doing something very impersonal for her like maybe putting a happy birthday balloon on her doorknob or maybe a greeting card on her car. During a conversation about 6 months ago, I learned that we were the same astrology sign (Aquarius - the sign of friends)

I'm a lot older than her and am in NO WAY trying to "hit on her". We've spoken casually and I've learned (over the 3 yrs) that we have a lot of things in common. I'm always polite and she's always cordial...But I also get the impression that she is a little unsure of me. I'm a friendly person but not overly.

If you were her, would you be okay with an impersonal birthday greeting from me or should I just forget it? As I said, I'm totally NOT trying to hit on her...just want to surprise her that I remembered her birthday.

I go to a very small church. very low attendance.
I miss a Sunday and he calls me up and asks me if I am sick.
I don't lie or want to be rude. I know he don't call the other few members. How can i phrase the truth that won't hurt him? or should i just tell the truth and shame the devil. Sometimes I just can't get out of bed becasue I stayed up all night goofing off
