I live in Topeka and I'm going to party in Manhattan this weekend. Should I leave now or in 35 minutes? The drive is about 30 minutes.

I work in a general office environment with cubical walls. However one of the coworkers near me smells all the time. How do you tactfully tell a co-worker that they need to shower more regularly?

Many many thanks.

Today in a cafe I noticed a man with a glob of clam chowder running from the corner of his mouth down to his chin. I guess he couldn't feel it! I didn't say anything because he was in a huge hurry. Would you have said something?

Me and my boyfriend were just at the pub with his best mate. Ive always fancied his best mate and we have always flirted with each other a bit. We were all a bit drunk, my boyfriend went over to talk to one of his friends and I made my way outside and to the toilets. There was no one around, he followed me and we just suddenly had sex in the cubicle. I feel really guilty and told my boyfriend I feel ill and needed to go home. I just got back and he is still there with his mate, Im scared he will say something.

If so, how much is acceptable? For a server (or waitress, etc.), I always tip 20% or more (unless they're rude or something. But a server does a lot more work...

I had to leave work early today because I did not feel well. My vision got very blurry, and I almost blacked out. I felt very very guilty for leaving, but did not want to chance getting worse, since my job involves a lot of walking. I hate to be a burden on anyone, but someone who was already there filled in for me without any problem (it is her position, but I filled in for her because she was on special project). What can I do to show her I appreciate what she did?

I received a penpal letter 21 years ago from someone in Italy. I'm just getting around to writing back. (Yes, I have some procrastination issues, hush.) The back of the envelope got ripped off through the years of sitting in a cardboard box in storage and the only address I have to go off of is on the letter itself. Problem is I've never written to someone in Italy, I don't know if it's correct, looks backward. Here goes: Via del Patrocinio, 18 25100 Brescia
Do you think thats correct if I send it like that? Or am I missing something? (besides her name and the country)

A friend recently got aesthetician's license. To build clientele she's offerred friends deep discounts on services--I've gotten peels, facials and eyelash extensions, and discounts on most products.

For example, the eyelash extensions retail at $250 for the 1st application; she did it for $80. I tipped her $80. I've gotten lash fill-ins for $50, tipping her $50 each time.

A facial peel that retailed at $349, she charged me only for the cost of the products she used, $40. I tipped her $85.

The dilemma: She sold me a liquid silicone product to paint on the lash extensions to make them last longer. It made them fall off. She advised me to use less, I did, same thing. I said I wanted to return the product. She reluctantly said she would, but the $60 would come out of her pocket, and that no one else was having a problem. I didn't return it. A couple of months later she told me that the stuff was a problem for everyone and not to use it.

My question: Would you return the product?

Last night i went to a nice concert with my friend who is an african-american male. He was dressed nice and him and I were walking together to the doors. There was a single lone asian male with glasses and beady eyes just glaring at me with intense hatred. (Everyone there had a friend or a date except him). I smiled at him and he still did it! Anyways I ignored him , but why the hate? I dressed nice and I was only walking along side with my friend. I am an asian american female by the way. Did he hate me because he thought my friend was my date?

ive seen that this question has been asked before but id love to get more peoples opinions on the topic, i am a server at an italian casual dining restaurant and am absolutely shocked at how little people tip, do people know that 20% is what we are expected to earn, i am just shocked when people tell me i was great and gave excellent service and then leave a $5 tip on a $50 dollar check, what is wrong with people? i understand not tipping well if you have poor service but if the service is good, how much do you tip? any other servers out there with the same problems? it just seems like people are getting cheaper and cheaper, i mean if you can not afford to leave the correct amount for a tip then go to mcdonalds, sorry if i seem angry its just been a terrible week and bc i can not chase my guests out the door and ask them why they left such a crappy tip i figured i would see if i could get any ideas on here of why people tip the way they do, thanks!
