Last night i went to a nice concert with my friend who is an african-american male. He was dressed nice and him and I were walking together to the doors. There was a single lone asian male with glasses and beady eyes just glaring at me with intense hatred. (Everyone there had a friend or a date except him). I smiled at him and he still did it! Anyways I ignored him , but why the hate? I dressed nice and I was only walking along side with my friend. I am an asian american female by the way. Did he hate me because he thought my friend was my date?

You have to realize that every race can be racist. It is obvious he didn't like seeing an Asian girl with an African American male. He must have believed you were selling out to another race, just as a lot of white people and black people don't like seeing a black/white couple.

He probably assumed that you were dating and there are a lot of Asian guys who look down on Asians dating non Asians and with a pretty strong tendency to believe the worst stereotypes about African Americans in so many parts of North East Asia, it is no surprise that he thought you were a "race-traitor."
Or maybe he was just constipated or something and wasn't intentionally glaring at you.

I think he is ticked that you are betraying your roots and you should be with an asian man. I personaly think people should be with whoever they please. Do what you want not what other people exspect.Especiall if he is just a friend no one should care.
