Your boyfriend borrowed it, and he was responsible for it while he had it. You and your boyfriend are going to have to pay for a new one, or take it into a Best Buy or something, and try to get it fixed. Just because your boyfriends brother is younger, doesn't mean you don't have to replace it. What if someone borrowed your cell phone, and they returned it to you and it was in broke?
I suggest that you take it to a Best Buy or Circuit City or any electronics store and ask them to look at it for you. They might be able to fix it. I have a PSP and mine was having problems once, and I brought it into Best Buy and they fixed it. Do that if you don't want to tell your boyfriends brother what happened, but you could also tell your boyfriends brother and maybe they can see if it's still under warranty but I know that the stores and Sony will not cover anything like that. But PSP's are very fragile, and if it can't be fixed you or your boyfriend will have to save up for a new one. I am 15 and I paid for my PSP on my own the first year they came out, and if my older brother borrowed it and gave it back broke I would be pissed off.
Good luck! I hope this helped.

I am lining up with others.
1. Gotta be responsible and tell the truth.
2. Either repair or replace.
3. Feel sorry all you want but it is meaningless without numbers 1&2.
My comment: With a six year old in the house I would not leave anything breakable attended on a settee or table.

Sorry to say, but you need to come up with the money to replace the item. Don't borrow things and leave them near your 6 year old if you can't afford to replace them. Feeling bad is not nearly enough in this situation. My only lower cost suggestion would be to see if you can find one on ebay for a lower price.

If you can't afford to replace it, I would take it to an electronics store that offers repairs. Sometimes, that can be just as costly as buying a new one, but you never know. It may be very fixable. Try removing the game, any memory cards, and removing the player's consoles. Turn the entire system off, unplugging it, and letting it cool down for about fifteen minutes. Then plug it back in, and try again. If that doesn't work, there may be something wrong with it. Good luck!

The best thing is to be honest, always the best way. Maybe the error can be fixed without replacing it?? if it is 'dead' you could claim on your contents insurance, if you do not have any, agree on a payment plan with your boyfriends younger brother. or purchase one on credit as a last resort through a catalogue (normally give interest free over 40weeks) but make sure you keep up with payments if you have to resort to that !

You must replace it. Talk it over with his parents to work out a payment plan. When you borrow something, it is implied that you will take care of it, especially with something as delicate as a PSP. Good luck!

How long has his brother had the PSP? It could still be covered under the warranty.
If not, try resetting the PSP, i.e take the batteries out, then replace them, & then see if it works.

You borrowed something expensive and then broke it. You need to replace it, even if it takes you awhile to do it. If the situation was reversed I'm sure you would want the same thing.
