I find this so annoying when guys do this! All of a sudden my college prof. starts calling us honey and sweetie. It's sorta of annoying. I know it's immautre but I've always wondered why guys do that. Alot of the girls at my school hang around him, cause I guess they find him attractive. But he only calls certain female students that, and when other teachers are around and he calls me "honey" he doesn't say it as free as he ussally says it. Can someone explain to me why he's all of a sudden doing this. I'm just like really stupid when it comes to guys!

I think it's not right to try to try and pick up a girl while she's working, such as cashiers for example. I just find myself interacting with more and more really pretty cashiers and it kills me. I just want to hear some opinions and possibly reaffirm mine.

I was supposed to go over to the home of a friend from church for dinner. But when I talked to her this morning on the phone, she asked me if I could do one favor for her: "Could you brush off all that dog hair off of you?" To me, it was very rude of her to say that. I have 4 dogs, including one with long white hair that does shed. But I do have a lint brush that I use before I go out, and I do my best to brush off any dog hair; however both the brush and I aren't perfect and therefore unable to remove EVERY single strand of hair. I don't go out with a grotesque amount of hair on me, but yes there are still a few. I backed out of going to the dinner after she made that comment to me. Am I crazy, or was she incredibly rude?

I work in a large factory in South Carolina and every day I see these people sleeping in our break room. When I'm opening the right side of double doors they can't open the left side for themselves. They have to come though the door I've opened for myself. At the time clock they cut in line. Leave their own mess on the table on the lunch table for someone else to pick up.They are Very load talking when sitting across the table from one another.
Who am I talking about? You know who I'm talking about. Please try fit in and respect other's around you.Being rude isn't cool . It shows disrespect and that is what you will get back! Total Disrespect!

So, My Parents say I can have a sweet sixteen, and we're renting a place to have it at. The date is set for Feb.18th and they thought it would be a nifty idea to have valentines day party along with my sweet sixteen. As they say, yes its after valentines day but the 18th falls on a Sunday where as valentines is during the week. A problem, what to do? What kinda of things would you do? Games? Types of Food? Formal, Semi-Formal, or just decent clothes? Anything. and since the place is right beside of our church, mother is not allowing any dancing. Music is fine but no dancing, so in turn I need games or activities or something to keep everyone entertained. Anyone have any Ideas. I need them Fast.
Thanks - Susie

what happened to rational, intelligent, tactful debate? what happened to respecting others for their opinions and disagreeing in a civil manner--using intelligence and clear thinking to develop ideas, rather than resorting to calling the person stupid, ignorant, or an idiot, etc?

In the workplace I knew this nasty woman for years but she found a nice hubby, and they quit that job, and kept to themselves for years (a happy private couple) in a city far, far away. Ten or fifteen years passed. Her hubby just died. He was nice so that's sad. I'm kind of a private person but have developed a group of close friends I adore, and we are all close and have stuff in common. Somehow she got my e-mail and has started sending me long detailed messages about her life (two or three a day) and her sister (who I don't know) got sick and she keeps sending huge messages. Tending to her sister, she even gave my e-mail address to some other person I don't know so they could keep me posted of her life. I am really a very nice person, but I never liked her---she is eogcentric and burns people out. I don't want to be friends with her. Hasn't she made her own friends after all of these years? I would never choose her as a friend. Do I ignore those messages? Any suggestions?

I am writing to a judge to apply for an internship in his court. Since honorable is always preceded by 'the,' I can't write Dear The Honorable Judge Smith. Or Dear Your Honor. That's weird. So do I write Dear Judge Smith or Dear Judge Joe Smith?

Please include in your answer where you get your information from. I want to make sure it is correct!

My boss recently wrote an impeccable recommendation letter for me. This is actually second time he's done this. First time, I gave him a hand made thank you card, but this time I would like to give him some sort of small token of appreciation. One problem, is that he's one of those individuals who has everything.

Lately, it seems like both adults and kids that I see everywhere are chomping on their gum with their mouths open. This looks . . . GROSS . . . to me. It used to be considered rude to chew ANYTHING with your mouth open -- what happened to that rule of etiquette?

I just moved into a new apartment. Weekly housekeeping is included in the rent. I have to provide the supplies and call the office to schedule the housekeeper to come when I want her. I plan to use her weekly. Since her fee is paid as part of my rent, should I tip her each time? I haven't used her at all yet so have no idea how thorough a job she will do. Would it be acceptable/appropriate to simply give her a generous tip a couple of times a year if she's doing a good job? The apartment office said tipping was entirely optional.
