No it's not rude. It's trying to get to know you better. What do you have to hide whether you are married or single. Just say yes or no.

Not rude. Why would it be? They may be looking for someone to date and are asking if you're available. They may know someone looking for someone to date and are asking if you're available. They may be looking to make a new friend and are wondering if you match their marital status; it's easier to be friends with married people when you're married and single people when you're single.
It's not like they're asking you if you have a veneral disease. They just want to know if you're married.

i do not imagine it develop into impolite of her no longer to ask you. If she isn't on the point of you, i do not comprehend why she may. And in case your brother had wanted you to face, he must have requested you. The bride is less than no criminal responsibility to have you ever as a bridesmaid. I had my husband's sister as a bridesmaid because we are close. although, my brother develop into no longer a groomsman, because neither myself nor my husband are on the point of him. there is not any rule even as it includes that style of ingredient. also, she isn't obligated to do some thing wedding ceremony proper with both of you. She isn't "meant" to ask you or your mom to at least some thing. Please understand that that is definitely about her, no longer about you. i do not recommend to be harsh, although that is authentic. I somewhat doubt that is a few thing personal. i did not even invite all my bridesmaids to assist me locate my gown, only 2 of them and my mom. Too many evaluations makes issues more durable. so a strategies as her no longer attending to understand you, perhaps she is shy, or maybe she extremely is only a brat. yet have you ever made any attempt to get to understand her? you do not extremely element out any attempt on your section. it would want to be intimidating for someone as an intruder. 5 years is a lengthy time period although, so i'm no longer particular what to inform you. truly do no longer confront her about it. All which will accomplish is starting to be extra stress than there already is.

Well, You`re probably in certain age, when most people are married, so they think it`s the safest question (one of the "good Ones") in communication with You. Next one would be :Any children? Yes, it`s pushing, and kind of rude, but people have to talk about something, even with strangers. And it can`t always be the weather.
I`m thinking that perhaps You`re not comfortable with not being married (yet?), and that`s why You mind others asking.....

That is called small talk, they are making the mistake of trying to get to know you, don't worry, they will figure out that it is a waste of their time.

yes it is rude. you could have some fun with this though, next time answer their question with one of your own. something like do you have a master's degree or does your dog pee in the house. these questions are no worse than them asking you out of the blue if you are married. unless these are chicks asking this question, if that is the case it's a whole different ballgame.
