Ok yall since Valentine's Day is comming up I have gone and bought some gifts from my co-workers. I bought nice mugs, chocolate hearts and candy bags. I have put them in nice gift bags. I plan to give them to all my co-workers. Do you guys think that its too personal to give a gift like that to all my co-workers? I am gay and everyone is cool with me. But I just dont want people to freak out when I give it to them . Do you guys think that this is a too personal gift to give your co-workers?

I think you have a wonderful heart and have the best intentions, but I do think it is a bit too personal. Since you already bought the items, I would give them out to the people I work closely with.

I think you are kind but this may be a little to extravagant. You also cant leave any one out It may look like favouritism. I plan on giving all my co-workers something but it's very small . I made heart shaped gift tags that say, "I appreciated all your hard work" and filled little plastic bags with some heart shaped candies. No mention of valentines but it is still sweet. I am also a Pediatric Nurse so caring and love does go with the job.

Give them their gifts all at the same time so that they know it's not a personal gesture but a safe and public display. Otherwise someone might think it's creepy. You probably don't have to put so much thought into the gifts, but it's great that you did and shows what a thoughtful guy you are. I would have just got some candy bars, or beer, or sprung for a stripper to put on a show at work.

I'd love to have you as a co-worker. I'm sure they will be excited that you are getting into the spirit of Valentine's Day. Also, work tends to get quite boring (not sure where you work though) and a little cheer will brighten up the day.

I don't think it's too personal..... if you'd bought lingerie and jewellery then yes, that would be too personal. Choccies are a good choice.

Gifts For Female Coworkers

Although generous of you and very kind hearted (wouldn't mind having you as a friend) I think that it might be inappropriate for you to give your co-workers V-day gifts. It just appears to be more of a loved ones holiday. They may take it the wrong way and for me the work place is never a place for horseplay.

I don't think it's too personal at all. I'm a straight male and I was planning on getting my female co-wrokers some candy or something simple and innocent. After reading some of these replies though I've begun to second guess myself. Go for it, as long as your intentions are well everyone should and will enjoy the gesture! :) Happy Vday to you I say!

I think it's a kind hearted thing to do. I am planning on doing something for my female co-workers, just to show them that I appreciate them. Valentine's may depict love between partners, but love is universal, no matter how you show it. A good intention, is the best intention.

I think your gift is TOTALLY GAY! AND I LOVE IT. It's also why we have more fun.

You should pass out your gifts & don't think twice about it. You'll be the talk of the office. Keep in mind that it might be expected every year once the GOOD DEED is done.

Happy V-Day. I wish more of my co-workers were like you.
