was wondering, I joining the air force in 2 years. My recruiter told me to wait 2 years and then apply for a scholarship program in the air force, by then i will be finishing college because the scholarship is for graduate school.

This might sound silly but, i saw really nice air force shirt, and i really wanted to buy it. But i realized i was not in it yet. So im wondering if i buy, would it be considered disrespectful to the air force?

Hi the other day I got wedged between three cars in the middle of the intersection, because of a work truck. Also a van cut everyone off in a different lane. I was not the only one stuck there and none of us could predict it. Finally the light changed.

Anyway, as I started to cruise again, but as I looked to my left, I noticed a very agitated young man hanging out his window with his finger extended like an animal. He was screaming at me in all manners of terrible words. I was very surprised at him. I really felt like he was extremely unreasonable, because anyone with simple observational skill would know it was the work truck and van. Plus, I was one of three stuck.

He looked like a wildman with his finger outstretched and half his body out the window. So much aggression. Why would someone start screaming like that? Isn't that going to cause his blood pressure to grow? I really felt he should let it go, have some dignity, and put that finger away. What do you think?

I have noticed a lot of people asking why people are insulting. But i would venture to ask why do you take it so personally? People have a lot of different views. I think if you ask a question you should be open to the same views, different views, and the occasional drive-by insult. After all its a place for you to see all manners of thought so you can think out your own stuff. Am I right here?

being rude vulgar or mean to them and the manager decides to refuse service to them and they refuse to move their car what would the police do if called? This happened the other day and we decided it was faster to just serve them even though they were awful .Really we would of liked to have them removed.Would we of had to fill out a complaint or would the police just told them to get lost.

I live in a townhouse, I have neighbors with kids on both sides. The problem is that the parents let their kids RUN in the house all day, starting at 5 am til about 8 pm, sometimes later. My problem is I have a baby who is sick, and the neighbors kids run and bang so loud my baby only gets a 15 minute nap before they wake her up. I don't want to seem ignorant and tell them to keep their kids quiet, I just think that the children should do their running outside. It wouldn't be that bad if they didn't do it NONSTOP, but I can't deal with it any longer, if you were my neighbor, how would you prefer I proceed? Thanks!

Well... I am a nice guy and I have a problem. I cannot swear or use any vulgar words (even "sucks). My conscience is too strong. Is there anything wrong with me and do you girls mind? Thanks.

We received an invite to hubby's h.s. best buddy's sister wedding -we haven't seen (or talked to) her in 14 yrs when we were out for the buddy's wedding. (We haven't seen said buddy in that long either - just an exchange of cmas cards). The wedding is about 900 miles away.

We took the gesture as being kind to think of us (my mother in law got an invitation as well - and she hasn't seen them in 17 years.) Obviously however, we won't be going. There was no RSVP card.

Two questions:
First:
I would like to at least send a card. My question is do I need to send some type of gift as well? (Gift card, cash, small gift).

And for my own curiosity:
There was no RSVP card although there were directions to the wedding site, should we take that as it was safe for them to assume we wouldn't come (although we considered it as an excuse to get away from the kidlets LOL) or is a common practice if it is an "open" reception and no RSVP needed. Thoughts?

Thanks

My son came for a visit and we went out to eat. His girlfriend kept calling him while we were out eating, she must have called at least 20 times. Very annoying and loud ring tone, vibrate did not work on his phone. Other customers in the restaurant started commenting. When the phone rang again, I grabbed it, answered and told her that we were trying to enjoy our visit and turned off the phone. The next day she called me and screamed at me that I had no right in answering or turning off "her" phone. Was I wrong? I dont think so, but what would you have done?

Had the displeasure of going to Paul's Art Show in Short Hills, NJ. After waiting in line for 2 hours, we finally get brought into the art gallery. We saw Paul and said "Hi". He walked over to our group and in a very rude and disrespectful tone reminded us that "we are in an art gallery, not a record store or guitar store. I'm only here to sell art so I will only meet you if you buy my art". And then he stormed away. I guess Paul needs money more than we thought. He's a greedy, rude and ungrateful old geezer that has had facelifts and has fake hair. I guess his new album isn't doing so well & he needs the money. After being fan since I'm 8 years old, I'm really shocked that is such a jerk!

I was just wondering why, when they see a telephone # at the bottom of an invitation, do they not call and tell the party host that they will or will not be attending? I think this is just proper manners to do so and not to mention the fact that it is a tremendous help for those who are purchasing the food and party supplies. My nephew's birthday party was last week. He invited 9 friends from school. We only got calls that 2 were coming for sure. 8 showed up and it was a good thing we had extra. What if we hadn't though? This subject came up in a group of parents that I talk to sometimes before/after school. One of them asked me how the RSVP's went for his party and I told them that mostly everyone came but only 2 called. Then a woman said to me, "Oh here in Arkansas we don't do that (she knew we are not orig. from AR), nobody calls to let you know if they are coming or not. I then thought to myself I guess there are a lot of people here with no manners.

With both guys and gals earning who do you think should pay for an outing? Personally me and my other deposit an equal amount in a dating account and spend it till empty or replenished. So our outing depends on how much is left in the account which we draw out at ATM and spend accordingly.

my friend (call her Sue) has a friend (call her mary) that always expects to be invited when we go out. for example, i have two friends, and the three of us hang out. the problem is that mary expects to be invited along and assumes she is. I don't get along with her at all and neither does my friend's husband. my question, how do I tell my Sue, or Mary, that Mary isn't invited in a tactful way?
