It means you are wearing a thumb ring! It doesn't matter anymore... people used to say that if a guy wears an earring in his left ear he is gay... no it doesn't.... it just means that is the side he got it on....

One of the first things many men notice about a girl is if she is wearing a ring or not. It's the most visible way to see if a person is engaged/married or not. While some men fail to realize you have 2 ring fingers, most know it's the left hand finger you wear a engagement/wedding ring on. In this day and age, not every woman has a traditional diamond engagement ring nor a traditional wedding band. Many wear colored stone rings that don't even remotely resemble a traditional engagement/wedding ring. While it's fine wearing one on your right hand, wearing one on your left ring finger would indicate you are taken, regardless of what the ring looks like. Some men might ask if you are or are not married, but most will take a ring on the wedding ring finger as a sign not to approach you. Why not just switch the ring you normally wear on your right hand out with your other rings? You don't have to be wearing them all at once, so try and wear an appropriate ring on the right ring finger that either goes with your outfit or suits the occasion (like if you dress up).

Not to my knowledge. I did it when I was a teenager because it was cheap costume jewelry and it only fit my thumb. Why do women wear toe rings? Because they can is the only thing I've ever known.

no just right hand fourth finger. anything else is just for decoration. it might be for friendship. if it looks really expensive, then it might be more and she just wants to wear it
