Why should I leave a tip at Star Bucks for someone handing me a 5 cent cup of coffee that is costing me $2 and tastes like 1 cent!
Did they bring it to my table.
Do they come with refills!
If they keep my cup filled at my table without my asking I'll give them a tip, otherwise my tip is GO BACK TO COLLEGE AND BECOME AN ORTHODONTIST if you want to be rich!
And they say Wal-Mart exploits workers!
That Rich RAG HEAD who owns the Stewarts or Dunkin or 7-11 Franchise gives me a better cup of coffee than Star ucks!
And he smiles at me and says hello even if I get cow or pig parts to go along with my morning coffee (even if it goes against his religion). All he cares about is I'm there and handing him $1-$4 for what I get and he's a laughing all the way to the bank in his Rag Hat.
Maybe the people at Star Ucks better take a lession from him and he can't even speak great Engrish!

Why would I? Do I tip the person at Burger King who waits on me? And they make a lot less money than the people at Starbuck's!

NO - Tipping at Starbucks or any other establishment you see a jar with money in it.
Do you tip at McDonalds?
Do you tip at you Dry Cleaner?
Do you tip at your local video rental store?
Do you tip at a Department Store?
That kind of tipping started during the early to mid 90's when people were getting rich off the internet boom - that's over.

I love Starbucks and I always put my change coins in the jar. I have 1 by my house and 1 by my work, and both of the crews know my name, use it, and seem happy to see me by chatting and making the small talk of our lives. I have met clients there on occasion and always had good service. They are a great company, support diversity, and are an excellent stock buy.

If the email that's circulating the web is correct, and Starbucks won't or wouldn't donate items for the troops overseas, they are not worthy of business or a tip! Commies!!!

NO WAY! It isn't like you are getting table side service. do you tip at Taco Bell or Wendy's? It is basically the same thing.
Tip for service tip the waiter or waitress that is actually working hard to make sure that you have everything hat you need during your meal. not someone who hands you a $5 coffee. StarSucks is like fast-food you don't tip there.
