We just moved into this apartment and have not met many people. The upstairs neighbors fight all the time. Early in the morning and late into the evening. It seems that if they are not fighting they are watching TV which we can hear though out our apartment. We tried to knock to tell them to turn it down, but I don't think they could here the knock over the TV. I realize that they are most likely having problems because of all the fighting and I hate to add to it, but I work at 5:00am and they don't turn off the TV all night, they must be falling asleep to it. I don't want to add to their problems but I need to get my sleep to do my job. What can I do to let them know there is a problem without them hating us?

I and my boyfriend live with two roommates. Last night one of the roommate got really sick with something. He spent most of the night threwing up. He keep turning the heater up or down to maximum that left everyone else sweating or shivering while he buries himself under thick layers of blankets while wear several sweaters or undress and open windows.
Early this morning he let out a painful scream that cause all of us come in his room. He was crying and laying naked on the floor covered in sweat. After we talk to him with great difficult, we figured out his lowerback was in lot of pain. We almost called 911 but he begged someone to try massage his back first. So I did. Once he fell asleep and stop moved, we went back to bed that's when he finally stop making lot of noises or moving around.

Now my boyfriend is kinda pissed off about this whole thing and keep asking me question. He's trying to make me feel bad about what I did.

My assignment in speech is to do something in public that violates peoples' norms and take notes on their reactions. It cannot be harmful, illegal or offensive. Examples: walking around the mall in your bathrobe, standing at the front of an elevator and staring at everyone else. Any suggestions?

doesn't make any sense to me...........everyone in every race are not alike! It's like if someone had a bad incident with ONE person from one race and they think everyone from that race is just like that.

Well obviously I am bored and thus a little toilet humor is in order - hey girls it's a guy thing! Then again, you girls can clear a room too so no complaining. Every once in a while toxic fumes will permeate my place, and my G/F will get this oddly pleased with herself look. Of course, she always blames it on the cat (or me). We don't have a cat, but that is another story.

So, if I lean to the left when I let one loose as opposed to leaning to the right, is this an indicator of some sort - maybe conservative vs liberal or what??

If she's fat, it's not like she'll look any skinnier by not telling you her weight. Some people don't even look their weight. Some are heavier than they look, and isn't the whole point just to LOOK good?

Most of the guys are cute but I don't got any time for relating hips gal! I got to maintain my 2.3 GPA! [You heard right] Well it all happens when I ask the guys next to me if I can borrow their stationary (pens, etc.) I guess they get the wrong idea! They give me this lovey dovey look that includes pinching their noses and squinting their eyes. They also begin coughing and gagging. Like what the hell ya'll? That is SO perverted. Sexy ladies help me out.

I made a bad judgemment call when I started and cockblocked this person at work, because she was totally intrusive, rude, ignorant and ubnoxious with their comments; but people at work actually deal w/ that person and some like them (that figures). So now, the new ones went on her side (its like KINDERGARDEN). They talk around me and drop not so suttle hints that they basically shut me out, but this is not a problem because I don't want to hang out with them. The problem is I am worried they are inventing stuff about me and spreading it to work people and that a lie will get to the boss. I mean I work w/ them I don't need to be their friend, but they act like 5 year olds, saying dumb commentaries about dumb stuff. How do I keep my career safe? or is it domed because of these people who are hypocrites and talk to me when the boss is there only?
