I and my boyfriend live with two roommates. Last night one of the roommate got really sick with something. He spent most of the night threwing up. He keep turning the heater up or down to maximum that left everyone else sweating or shivering while he buries himself under thick layers of blankets while wear several sweaters or undress and open windows.
Early this morning he let out a painful scream that cause all of us come in his room. He was crying and laying naked on the floor covered in sweat. After we talk to him with great difficult, we figured out his lowerback was in lot of pain. We almost called 911 but he begged someone to try massage his back first. So I did. Once he fell asleep and stop moved, we went back to bed that's when he finally stop making lot of noises or moving around.

Now my boyfriend is kinda pissed off about this whole thing and keep asking me question. He's trying to make me feel bad about what I did.

He keep say this roommate probably faked whole thing and ask me if I think his body look better than him and stuff.

This really irriate me since he was keeping everyone up all night due to run back and forth to bathroom, tamper with temperature, and other things. Plus this guy have some serious issue with people touching him, he doesn't like to be touch at all. He have shy away from anyone who try to touch him. He was also screaming and crying and this is the guy who walked away from car crash with four fractured ribs then wakeboard that weekend. So I really doubt he was faking anything.

Was I wrong for what I did?

You were right in doing as you did to help -although I probably would've called a doctor, glad it turned out okay but it sounds pretty serious, could as well have gone worse. But okay, you weren't asking about the medical side! About your boyfriend, he sounds insecure. Tell him there really is no reason for his insecurity & distrust, he'll most likely come around.

Hope your roommate is indeed okay, let us know if you update :)

No you were not wrong. This man was in distress. He may have disturbed the entire house, but let's figure one night out of 365 in one years is not extreme. He obviously needed some help. Frankly, it almost seems as if he had a kidney stone. Those are extremely painful. You should be applauded for coming to his aid without thought of your own embarrassment or what others might think. You must be quite a woman and any man who is your man is very lucky indeed.

you were in the 'right' and your so called boyfriend is an A r S S!

i would be telling him that the roommate is hot and you can't wait for him (bf) to go to sleep so you can take advantage of his hot body. lol.
he really needs to get help for his insecurities before he brings you down. he will not ever have a healthy relationship with that attitude. and if you let him, he won't let you have a healthy relationship. i think you deserve better.

Your bf deserves a swift kick in the ------. As for your room mate he NEEDS to be taken to get checked out. This guy needs help. Just ignore your BOYfriend - he sounds rather insecure. Get the roommie help and tell you Bf to grow up! It was very good of you to help out.

Personally, I don't think so. You were only trying to help, right? So what's wrong with helping people? That's the problem with the world right now. If only people would help each other more... and not get annoyed when other people are helping other people...

No, you were just trying to help. There is nothing wrong in helping in a good cause.

I think it's nice for you to help this person. I think you should take him to a hospital immediately. These are very serious symptoms.
