I miss when he was funny. Any ideas?

He is getting old and has lost his charisma.

I've met him. I was in Hawaii and was on top of a point with a scenic view with my buddy. There was one guy just kickin' back near his motorcycle and he was just taking in the scenery. My buddy and I asked this guy if it would be alright if we smoked a bowl. He said "sure" and came over to us to join in. It turned out to be Jim Carrey. He was sooo chill and waaay funny. I think that he is just tryin' new things right now because people tend to get bored or just wanna break out of certain molds that they've been cast in. I think that this is especially true for comedians who are never taken seriously for the art that they produce. I think the likes of he and Will Farrel would be GREAT dramatic actors provided they have the right vessel.

I don't think he sucks. I'm anticipating his new role b/c this will show Jim Carrey's non-funny side. He has a serious role in his latest movie.

I think it might just be because we have seen so much of his work we get used to and expect more and better of him (like other things in life).

Matter of opinion. He's branching out. We will see if it's sucessfull or not... Hope so...His new movie looks good.
