When you ask some one to play the piano or organ or perform at a wedding do you also send them an invitation to the wedding and reception. We are trying to plan a small wedding for my daughter and we have asked the hand bell choir from our church to perform a song I the mother of the bride am in the hand bell choir there are about 15 people in the choir and with their families would be around 40 we are trying to keep the wedding around 50-60 total. Do we invite all of these people and their families? Just those performing or none at all? What is the proper thing If any one is up on their wedding etiquette please let me know

Thoughts on the matter?

Is it something with the noise? Or are we somehow inclined to laugh at stinky things? Or is it something else?

Do secret service still walk in the girls bathroom with a girl they are protecting and wait outside the stall door while they pee. I heard that they still do that and some go in the stall with the girl. Any insight to what this like to have someone be next to you while you pee for protection

My husband found cat puke splattered on the wall. From what I could understand, the cat had to have been sitting on the small table next to the couch, and facing the wall, PUKED as forcefully as that girl in the Exorcist movie!

I'm talking, splattered ... 3 feet wide and tall .. with little bits of kibbles and bits still in one piece!

What is wrong with this cat? Is he possessed? It is just not humanly possible for him to puke that hard, and why the f on the wall?

So glad my husband cleaned up that mess ... finders, keepers - not to his advantage this time, lol!

My son turned 2 on Sunday & had a party. I'm writing out the Thank You cards and wanted some advice on one.
One of my very good friends came in w/ a gift for my son & we are close enough that I could tell her, "he already has that one".
Well, he went to open it and I realized he does NOT have that one (it's the same brand/very similar) and told her, "wait, he doesn't have this one"... then he opened the next gift and I told her, "this is the one he has". It was a Playskool racetrack like the one he already has, the same one I thought my close friend had gotten for him.
I know I totally messed up and shouldn't have said he already had it, I'm aware of that (now). The child's mom heard me & I was very friendly when I told her "that's okay".
So, now that I messed up, here's my ?...
Do I leave the card as a simple thank you (this is to a child in his daycare class)?
Or, do I go on to say (the truth), mommy took me to exchange it for --- that I wanted, etc

Living fast is fun, but expensive. Do you enjoy casinos, cars, drinks, dinner, champagne, dessert, trips, expensive clothes, partys, cell phones, bling ?

I went to a funeral of a girl who had been killed by a drunk driver. They asked some of her friends to say a few words about her. One guy got up and said, "Boy, she really liked to party. I want everyone here to go down to the river sometime this week and have a beer in her memory." Considering the circumstances, I thought it was rather crass. How about you?

Ok, this is going to seem pretty stupid and trivial.... But I need advice.

Last Fall I became interested in acting and asked to sign up for lessons at a local theater. My mom said yes and we paid the first half of the fee. Well, the theater suddenly decided to put the class off until February of 2007... Needless to say, that is now and I have realized that I have no interest in acting whatsoever. I received a call from the theater today saying that classes started last night. I really, really, really don't want to attend this class. I have no interest and I'll hate every second. Furthermore, I just had my wisdom teeth removed and am in a lot of pain. I don't want to take this class (I would have taken it back in the Fall however, but a lot has happened since then). How is the best way to explain to my mother that I don't want to take this class? She's only paid for half of it. Thanks for any advice. I feel really bad about this, but I have too much on my plate right now.

I don't know what to do. Environmentally speaking, it's such a waste to throw out perfectly good packing materials like bubble envelopes and boxes -- especially when they've only been used once! These are perfectly clean and useable! -- but I don't want to upset any buyers. I mean, I can understand buying a brand new item and expecting to receive it in brand new packing materials.
What do you think?

I know the obvious like being with them and providing encouraging words, celebrating the life of the deceased, and providing food and flowers. I am very blessed to never have had the loss of an immediate family member. Last night my pastor and her husband found their youngest son dead (at 30 he was my age), she is always the one that comforts everyone else, and I just want to do something special for them. Our church is arranging food and sorts. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

tend to think that they are SO superior to regular folks?! I'd also like to know why rich people get better deals (on pretty much everything!) than average hard-working people do. People who don't need for a thing are given the world on a silver platter... WHY? Personally, I think it's a joke... and I despise the politics involved!

so the people above me have sex and have it often which is fine. But they must have the loudest bed ever because i can be in a dead sleep and wake up and hear them. Not only can I hear the bed but i can hear them making grunts and other noises. I know the need to have sex and do not think there is anything wrong with it but....as a person who works an 8-5 job is there anything I can do when they are doing this at 2 and 3 in the morning .....I am not sure what is rude because I know I have had my times as well but really....is it necessary to yell and what not.....
