I don't know what to do. Environmentally speaking, it's such a waste to throw out perfectly good packing materials like bubble envelopes and boxes -- especially when they've only been used once! These are perfectly clean and useable! -- but I don't want to upset any buyers. I mean, I can understand buying a brand new item and expecting to receive it in brand new packing materials.
What do you think?

As long as an item I bought was packed well I wouldn't mind if they were used materials.

A simple statement posted in your shipping information section such as "For the good of the environment and to help keep your shipping costs down, we reuse packing and shipping supplies when possible" will get the idea across to your buyers that not only are you helping the environment, but they're saving money from not having to pay extra for brand-new supplies with each purchase.

I would never be upset by receiving a shipment in a previously used box or envelope - I approve of conservation techniques, both for the environment and for my pocket!

I think that you should ask the buyers. Explain that you believe in recycling re-useable packaging materials and just ask if they would have a problem with it.

It is more fun to be the first to open something, but if you are selling used items then it makes it a little more acceptable.

Just make sure their is some kind of indication on the materials in question as to what the purpose of re-using the bubble/envelope/box were. So when the person recieves this product they will think it was used to save the enviornment not to be thrifty and increasing their bottom line.

I deliver all of my stuff USPS precedence Mail, yet I take the equipment to the submit place of work myself. it truly is an excellent signal that the supplier continues to be contacting you, yet save in ideas you in trouble-free words have 60 days from the date of purchase to record a declare with ebay. also, if the article regarded wide-spread lower back to the supplier, i'd contact the supplier and ensure this guidance. in the shape you do not right here lower back from the supplier interior 40 8 hours, i'd record it to ebay, yet keep in mind the record must be interior 60 days of purchase. If in reality the article become lower back to the supplier and also you no longer opt for the article, you could also settle for a whole refund from the supplier. now and again such issues as this do take position, yet when i'm promoting some thing, i am going to stay in consistent contact with the customer until eventually the placement is resolved. also, become the article insured? solid success.

I think it's great, I've received several things in used materials and being environmentally conscious I actually like it better that way, as long as the box fits of course so it is secure!

Speaking as an avid ebay shopper, as long as the item is well packed, I don't even pay attention to the packing materials used. I think it would be fine to recycle these items.

If it's in good shape, if it fits what you're shipping, if it has only a few bubbles popped, if you'd have to look closely to see that it was used, then go for it. It saves you money, which saves your customers money, too. It's good for the environment. What a win-win-win situation...

I've used used packing materials and have gotten good feedback on my packing.

Used packaging is exactly what I'd expect to receive in this situation. Not in any way "unprofessional".
