perhaps it is your perception. my husband used to accuse me
of yelling any time i spoke loudly enough he could not pretend
he did not hear me. the truth is my throat was damaged in
childhood and true yelling is impossible for me. this is probably
not the case with your teacher, but is illustrates the point.
what is yelling to one is not to another.

Teachers have families, reputations, etc. to defend. It is in their best interests to say they are not yelling at students, even when they do. Sometimes during disciplinary sessions a teacher's voice will become elevated and kids with sheltered lives will think that is a yell, when it isn't. Besides, some kids make up stuff so that Mommy and Daddy will come to the rescue. A lot of kids exaggerate.

What are you doing to make your teacher yell at you? Why don't you do your work in class?

This is what the video recording function of cell phones is for. Used discreetly, of course.

If your teacher is behaving badly, bust 'em with video. You'll be doing all the really good teachers a favor.

They get to the point that they can't take you little punks anymore. They don't make much money yet they have to deal with other people's kids day in and day out for 9 months a year.

For the same reason kids act up in school and then claim they didn't. They don't want to get in trouble.

They do that because in the moment they get really frustrated, but when it comes down to admitting it, they realize it could get them in trouble.
