I am talking about my biological father. He was never around when I was growing up. He never paid child support or came to see me. My mother told me that when she was pregnant he would throw huge temper fits and lock her in the closet right before he left for work and she beat the knob with a high heeled shoe from the inside of the closet to get out. She divorced him when I was a baby. Now all of a sudden he wants to jump into my adult life and say, "Here's Daddy Jon, I Love you." Well I was raised by my mother and my wonderful step father ever since I was 2, who is the only Daddy I have ever known. Somehow my biological father got my telephone number and has called me a couple times, telling me that he loves me and and I just don't feel a thing honestly. I quickly chaned the subject, one time I said, "thank you". I don't know how else to react or if I even want to have a relationship with him at all. Do you tell someone that you don't love them but you respect them?

like being scared of water, or being loud, or enjoying chicken, people often inquire about these things and black people get mad about this. I dont care if somebody asks why do white people like caviar, or why they like ping pong... Why are stereotypes so bad? It gives you a general idea about something right?

During a team dinner, one of the kids passed on a message to other kids through a game called telephone. When the message got to me, I was upset. The message the one kid sent was that I should do something sexually inappropiate to my mother. What's worst was that the kid mentioned my mom's full name in the message and people I didn't know heard it. I told the other kids to stop right after but they continued to laugh and told me that I shouldn't take things too seriously

I recently discovered that it's rude to leave your sandwich whole while eating it, as opposed to cutting it in half. I know that you're supposed to cut two pieces of steak at a time and keep your elbows off the table. Anything else I'm missing so I don't make a fool of myself?

I'm aware it's not proper to rest your elbows on the table during dinner some restaurants.

In what kind of restaurants is this like a big "no no"?

And also, is it not true that some higher class restaurants have menus with no prices meant to be seen by the female? I think this is a very old tradition which is no longer observed.

Like spelling and questions that are not asked in detail. They just assume you are a bad person. For instance I asked for a cheap gift idea for my girlfriend last week. Not a Valentines day gift. Just something random. A ton of people jumped all over me like I was Cheap. WRONG!!!! Valentines day started with breakfast in bed with a rose. A warm towel to dry off with. A kiss and a little not to send her off. At the office she recieved a dozen roses a teddy bear and a gift certificate to her favorite salon. For dinner we will go to her favorite restaurant. dinner will cost close to $200. There I will give her the Diamond earrings I bought for her $600. Am I cheap? Stop assuming negative and answer the freaking questions. I just wanted a cute little thing to let her know I was thinking of her and loved her. Is that so bad?

now people want to change sports teams who use indians as mascots (seminoles, redskins, indians) because it is not sensitive to native americans. when did they decide it was not sensitive? what happen all the previous decades were they sensitive to indians then?

I have this friend who is really nice. However, she does one thing that is starting to annoy me. She will talk about people's backs. We had lunch with this guy who was really nice. However, when I walked her to her next class she said that person is probably homosexual because he was so nice and he said he has lots of female friends. This is not the only time she said something like this. I feel uncomfortable discussing this issue as well as annoyed.
