I usually tip pretty well. People remember that and you might just actually make their day. I would say nothing less than $10. If you're not too stressed for cash and you'll have the guy for more than 3 hours and he's nice an friendly then I would give him $20, but if he's just dropping you somewhere, then I think a $10 should be okay. He probably doesn't get tipped.

I use to drive a limo. The limo company added a 20% gratuity to the rental and told clients it was for the driver. Not so! We got half of the 20%. On an average 3 to 5 hour rental, I used to receive an average of a 50 dollar tip. My biggest tip for one night was 750 dollars.

I always use the same as the standard dinner tip, 15% of total cost of services, as a general estimate.

You must also take some things into account. Is the limo clean? Is it well stocked with food and drink? Does he work for a service, or independently?

Most limo drivers these days whom work independently do all the work themselves. They clean the limo, stock it, gas it, and book it. Perhaps they do a little more.

Some whom work for a service still have to stock their limo's out of their own pockets.

The best bet is to check with the limo driver himself. Compliment him on the conditions of his limo, and ask him in conversation if he has to do all that himself. If he or she answers yes, perhaps a better tip is in order.

Unless it sucks. Then give him 10%

I would say 20 to 30 dollars for anything. Those things are hard to drive, take a lot of gas and if you are in a limo you probaly have more that just 3 guest. It's just classy.

usually I tip my drivers 20 percent, more if they go way above and beyond...especially if you keep them most of one night or a weekend...
