ok the weather is bad and im not trying to be driving all over the place. i dont have a lot of money either(hey bills are due!!). i dont want to get her flowers cause she won't take care of them. last night i got her red lobster and we had some wine. so tonight i want to get her an actual gift. do you guys think i should get her jewelry or should i just get her that desperate housewives dvd? (she loves that show!!)

is this your wife or girlfriend?? I personally dont like jewelry and if she doesnt take care of the flowers I doubt she will care for expensive jewelry all that much either. I'd go for the DVDs, but make it special. Put them in a gift box (not a bag, and fill the empty spaces with hershey's kisses and maybe tape a single red rose to the top of the box once its closed with a nice ribbon tied around it.

I don't know any gals who don't like to receive jewelry from their guys... but at the same time, we don't want "Kmart leftovers" either. And I personally appreciate getting something that I've been wanting as a gift, even if it's not "romantic."
I say get her the DVDs and tie a single rose on the box. I know you said she won't take care of flowers, but it's not as depressing to watch a single rose die as it is an entire bouquet.

The DVD, you already know it's what she wants, I have gotten jewelry from people that was WAY off from my style, and you don't want to make that mistake. Or you could even do the DVD with a nice small bouquet of flowers to make it seem even more special and thought out.

You took her out yesterday which was a nice thing to do. But I would not go out in this messy snow storm to get something. Call her and tell her you love her and that you'll give her another gift tomorrow. Unless she is a young spoiled brat she'll understand.
A long necklace of beads are a big fashion thing this year and they are not too expensive so maybe that would be some thing she would like.

If you think that a dvd will make her happy, I guess u should get that but in my opinion you should go to somplace like walmart and get her a nice necklace. Then you get a box of choclates (preferably other heart kind) and you put the necklace in side and leave it somplace where she will find it easily. She'll go crazy, She'll be happy, You'll be happy, and you'll have money in the bank.

Jewelery is very difficult and bad jewelery is even worse....If you are set on it I would take her to pick something affordable but certainly give her a choice...If that;s sounds like too much then the DVD is awesome....Hey anything you get her is great since you are thinking about her....Ask yourself what she would really appreciate more
