for both buyer and seller, and you leave positive feedback for the other person, they never leave any at all for you? I think it's quite rude.

This would all be solved if eBay made it mandatory to leave feedback in order to accept it. Simply put, after a transaction is complete, both buyer and seller would have x amount of days to list feedback for each other. If you left a positive feedback for someone and 10 days past w/o them returning the favor, the positive one you left for them would be removed, and replaced with a note that "that they received, then lost a feedback due to response".

I hate leaving it and never getting any back.

Flowerchi...

feedback is voluntary.

but it would frustrate me too if i didn't get feedback.

many people disagree with me, but this is what i do.

after my item arrives and i am happy with the transaction, i send my seller the following email:

i just wanted you to know that i received my item today. i am very pleased with this transaction.

i have left you positive feedback and hope that you feel you can do the same for me.

it has been a pleasure.

Deco.

i have always gotten feedback from this.

I buy something so rarely that sometimes I forget, just 'cause life is very busy. Then next time I log in I get this message 'you have x items you haven't left feedback for' and then I always do...

If I were you and it bothered you, I'd definitely send them a brief, polite note. Chances are they're just forgetful and don't mean to be rude, life nowadays is just so hectic!

Maybe some people aren't avid ebayers and don't care about feedback, or even realize the option exists.

Good Lord, it's a transaction, not a love affair. Get over it.

It's rude, but it's not surprising.
