tend to think that they are SO superior to regular folks?! I'd also like to know why rich people get better deals (on pretty much everything!) than average hard-working people do. People who don't need for a thing are given the world on a silver platter... WHY? Personally, I think it's a joke... and I despise the politics involved!

right on, sister!
money, unfortunately, equals POWER in this country. and people who are rich are thought of as 'better' because it signifies better genes, success, etc. though it may really not be the case. the rich get 'good deals' because of the adage 'if you scratch my back i'll scratch yours'. it's all about #1... the individual looking out for only their 'best' interests.
i DO know one rich person who deserves it. he started as an assistant manager of a movie theater and now owns at least one financial/investment firm. he works like crazy, but he also takes time to have fun and spend time with his family. so the rich aren't all bad. ;o)

From birth onwards, they are made to feel that they are entitled to all that they have, and since they have so much that they're entitled to -- so much more than most people -- they must be better than most people. The alternatives they would have to consider are unpleasant -- either it's just dumb luck (we don't choose the families we're born into) and has nothing to do with them personally, so they really aren't special, or they're getting way more than their fair share and should give most of it away. That's an unpleasant thought, isn't it? So they believe that they are wealthy because they are more clever, more hardworking (LOL), more talented, have better genes, are more beautiful, or whatever. And being wealthy, there are plenty of people who will keep reinforcing these beliefs -- you can pay people to tell you how wonderful you are, and everyone who thinks they might be able to get some money from you is willing to praise you for free, just on the off-chance that you'll buy something from them or give them something.

The rich get things for free because they know how. They know about money, where to spend it and how to get it.
Poor people on the other hand only know how to work and then spend their money. They are not educated on how to keep it and to get free things.
Its not poltics, its common sense, something a lot of people dont have. Even some rich people dont have and then end up being poor.
Also, not all "rich" people think that they are superior. I know poor people who think they are superior. Not because of income, because they just think they are someone special and that they should be respected.
You shouldnt judge people on how much they make, just like you dont judge people on race or age. Individuals act different depending on their upbringing.
You would be surprised on who you think is poor and who you think is rich. I know a lot of both. People who are truely poor will act superior so people will think they are rich. Most rich people dont want people to know they are rich because they get taken advantage of or have people like you ask questions like this.
Rich people donate a lot of money. I think you are just ignorant on people and need to go out and see for yourself. I have worked in both poor and rich communities.
The rich are rich and the poor are poor for a reason.

The real rich people you never really know that they are rich, unless you know what signs to look for. Then you have the flashy people, most of the time they do not have money. Just enough to be flashy........ The other people you are talking about like JLo and P-Diddy, they pay out the yazzo for most of everything....... Believe me when I tell you

But here is a funny story about a 'wealthy' idiot.I was in a 'Texas Roadhouse' restaurant yesterday celebrating a friend's birthday,and seated next to us were two men in expensive looking suits,going on and on on how well their businesses were doing.Well,the one guy got up,shook the other one's hand,and left.2 minutes later,the man who remained asked the waitress for a box.When she brought it to him,he proceeded to empty all the peanuts from not only HIS table...but from the surrounding tables of those who had already left!
It was so funny to watch!!We were trying to stifle our laughter;)

Entitlement....If it's old money, they were born into it and feel they are owed the good things in life. New money, they think the world is their trash pit and we are their servants.
Richies do get all the breaks, I agree. So many times I have seen the yuppies driving their Lexus RX330's, yabbering away on the cell phone and I just want to punch them.

Money always talks everywhere and anytime...... Money rules the world.....People can do anything, anything they want with their money. Money even surpasses fame and fortune as you can buy fame and fortune with money. You can make yourself famous with your money for sure. You can even achieve anything - anything you want in your life with your money, instantly.
So, we have to accept and deal with that so unfair fact that money always talks in so many way shape and form....
But the truth and uprightness will never fade away. The truth and verity will always win at the end.-

They are technically superior. Most wealthy got where they are today because of their knowledge, basically they went to college and achieved something you didn't.
You're just jealous, they have every right to "show off" they earned that money.
