It is pretty much based on how your parents raised you and who you are dealing with.

As for me, I learned through experience. I used to be afraid to talk to adults and authority, but I never got anything I wanted so I just gave it a shot and realized it was easy. Then, by just keep doing it, I got better. I just remind myself that they are people, too.

I was taught to work hard for what I wanted and nothing in life is free.
I didn't get anything I didn't work hard for and never got anything handed to me. I have been working since I was old enough to have a bicycle and have a paper route. I still work two jobs to this day and I'm now 46 years old.

The nagging answer is pretty good. If that doesn't work, try throwing heavy things at people, playing death metal at eardrum breaking levels and burning strange smelling substances in your room. If possible, all of it at the same time.

If I wanted it...I had to work for it. Period.Something alot of kids need to learn now a days.
